Long ways to go to finish my spare garage, but it's getting tons of use as-is.

You have a lot of room for more games.

Nice work. Looks great. I had flirted with the wood countertop idea. How'd you pull that off? I ended just going with granite.

BIG plans for this garage. More games are definitely a part of it One step at a time though, too many other house projects that have to get done first to keep the wife happy. That and the whole lack of funds thing

    Same exact situation for me.

Sell that Ski-doo and make more room and some cash for the new games. It is getting harder and harder and you have to go farther and farther to find decent snow nowadays any way!!

Plus it is a ski-doo and not a Cat!!

Awww snap! I was considering selling the sled to get a pin to use during the summer then convert back to a sled next winter. Haha

I hope you didn't have to bring the pins down that spiral staircase.

Here is an imgur album (http://imgur.com/a/f8SsP ) with the entire project construction of the game room. Towards the end are pics of the bar construction. I managed to get most of the construction steps, but missed pics of the particle board underlying the walnut bar top. Luckily for us, friends of ours own a tree-cutting service and gifted us 4 twelve foot long boards of walnut for the project. Our contractor took the nicest pieces of the rough-cut wood for the bar top and used the remaining for the rear edge/shelf and other touches.
We used Parks super glaze epoxy for the bar top coating and put 2 coats on over a few weeks (takes about 3 days to fully cure at room temp).

    Very, very nice renovation.

My gameroom got a little make over today to make room for a couple new additions. Jurassic Park left a couple weeks ago and I picked up a NBA Jam Tournament Edition that I have been restoring. Its almost complete so I moved it in from the garage today. The jukebox next to STTNG is for sale so it's just keeping the space warm for another pin very soon.

Nice. What does a NBA jam or a TMNT or Simpsons usually go for arcade wise?

    #4019 4 years ago

Generally $400-800 would be the right price. NBA Jam and Simpsons are easy to find. TMNT isn't bad but Turtles in Time is a highly sought after board, so you could pay for that one.

    #4020 4 years ago

Sweet. That's better than I thought. Thanks for the info.

    LOL what?

Ive been offered $2500 for my TMNT arcade... AND DECLINED.

TMNT arcade is extremely popular and desirable.

I've paid $150 for a dedicated TMNT. I think 400-800 is pretty on point.

    #4023 4 years ago

If its a regular TMNT then you can pick them up all day long in the $400-$500 range for a nice one. A Turtles in Time board can run you $300-$400 so adjust accordingly. If you were offered $2500 for yours, you should have taken it, bought another and picked up a pin to go with it. Maybe in Texas this stuff is hard to come buy, or you buy strictly from restorers but it's nowhere near a $2500 game.

Yep, the further you come out west, the more prices get pretty ridiculous.

    #4025 4 years ago

Well let me know when you need a TMNT. I'll buy it for $400, ship it for $350 and only charge you $2000 for it

    Must be your area.

Here a Tmnt pinball is $1200+

Here a last action hero pinball is $2500+

Here a Jurassic park pin can go for $3000+

Here a killer instinct arcade is $2500+

Here a TMNT arcade is 2000+
