Finally got some updated photos of the room as of tonight. Some people here have some truly amazing dream arcades/gamerooms. I'll get there one day; this is the best I can do while living on base here at WP AFB.

    DSCF6844.JPGDSCF6844.JPG

The main view of the pinball room when walking in.

    20140914_070021.jpg20140914_070021.jpg

40" Samsung TV from 2009. Acts as my entertainment, laptop monitor output, and VERY helpful when reading pinball repair shop guides. It is on a full motion wall mount, so it can be tilted any direction in the room - basically I can make it to where I can see this TV from any machine in the room. Got tired of walking back and forth to read a 15" laptop screen.

    20140914_063933.jpg20140914_063933.jpg
    Stuff on the walls.

    20140914_063945.jpg20140914_063945.jpg
My wife and I meeting Christopher Lloyd at the 2014 DeLorean Car Show.

    20140914_064007.jpg20140914_064007.jpg

Some of my tools in the closet for pinball repair. There's 2-3 plastic tubs/portable toolboxes out of site in this picture. Boxes to the top right have full sets of HS2 and BSD plastics. The stacked speakers are factory original speakers from HS2, BSD, and RFM. One habit carried over from car restoration: don't throw anything away ... at first.

More to come down the road I'm sure!

So I finally finished most of the game room. Here are some pics. Still going to install a train around the ceiling and more black light along baseboards.20140914_153337.jpg20140914_153337.jpg20140913_163634.jpg20140913_163634.jpg20140913_163238-134.jpg20140913_163238-134.jpg20140913_163252-907.jpg20140913_163252-907.jpg20140913_163356-507.jpg20140913_163356-507.jpg20140913_163318-206.jpg20140913_163318-206.jpg

Can't wait to see the train. And jealous of the diner booths. I wanted to do that so badly, but my wife really didn't like the idea.

Once they get a few things going, I'll start its own update thread.....its going to be 28' x 36' with a 1/2 bath, small wet bar/kitchenette - both in the front corner, then the rest all open space (stairs go up and down in the 'also being built' mudroom so they don't take up space up there). 15' cathedral ceilings, 8' walls so there's no height issues. Having a ton of power up there so none of the old Bally/Williams games reset with voltage drops. I've attached a sneak peek of my planned layout (for now). We added extra width so it could accommodate the bowling alley

Thanks....been waiting a long time. I wish it had the look of yours though......the blacklights make a room so much more arcade-like and it looks cool. Budget kept me from doing any of that

Mad Pole that is some sick shit!

It's like the milk bar on Clockwork Orange meets Tron.

    OMG

The Tron look was purposefully done. I think the orange and blue UV paint worked out well. The orange trim on the bar is pure white under normal light.

Hadn't thought about the milk bar, but it's one of my favorite movies. I had to go back and look. Sure enough, I think it's the white bar stools that brings it out.

If I didn't have kids my basement would be full of those white titty statues

Honestly though I bet if you spray painted 2 mannequins from Sears & procured some fungi it would look identical once you started peaking.

I'm a fan of the ol unltraviolence myself. So much in fact Alex keeps an eye on my gameroom. Attached is a pic I uploaded in this thread quite some time ago but what the hell I'm ok with repeating myself lol

    image.jpgimage.jpg

    Madpole do me a favor

You already have the black walls & white chairs. Just add two white statues & paint some trippy words on the wall

I've got a two tap keggerator in the bar area.

Thanks and same goes here, if you're ever in Pittsburgh let me know. I installed a 6 tower draft system few years ago and we typically have it going year round (beer is my first love)! Ironically we've been having KY Bourbon Barrel Ale (Alltech Lexington Brewing) on tap a lot lately since they now distribute in PA. Great beer if anyone wants to try a good smooth beer. It's available in more states now (http://www.kentuckyale.com/sites/default/files/Distribution_Maps_comp.pdf)

This one looks really nice. I like it especially when people don't cram as much games and paraphernalia as they can into the game room. I understand that people may not always have a choice, but it really appeals to me when I see game rooms with such an open space solution. Stylish decor too.

Nope, spent too much already...but should be able to fit 28 pins, a big ball bowler, mame cabinet, jukebox, and two hydro thunder sit downs. 7 dedicated 20 amp circuits. Plus 1000 sq ft of shop space - finally.

I can't wait to watch the progress and see the 'after photos', if you care to share on this thread! I'd love to build an addition to create a home arcade.
