Perfect summer game room. I am imagining a pool or lake nearby.

    #22152 10 months ago
    Quoted from zebpin61:

Summer game room.... I like it! In my entire life I've injured my back twice: the day I bought a 12ft shuffle bowling game and the day I sold it. You're a better man than me or at least stronger, if you're moving that beast twice a year. Enjoy!

I get help. It’s “only” 9 feet long. The 2 parts aren’t really heavy.

    #22153 10 months ago

You probably just taught him they come apart haha

LOL. Actually it comes apart in 5 pieces but I usually just keep in 2 parts.

FF Arrived, so updated pinball lineup:

MAME is still at the far end:

Also did some updates on the wall art with some new prints from Flyland:

    Nothing wrong with that lineup!!

Clearly you have not spent enough time on Pinside. so much drama in every thread it seems.
and a shot of the hall leading to my room. 80's blacklight themed [quoted image]

This is sooo cool…love what you did, i love coming here for all of the ideas…unlike other folks i will fully plagerize the shit out of your ideas and so keep em coming….about to dig under my garage for theatre 4.0. Which will let me add on room to fit more pins…its a win win, look forward to the sharing and colaboratng!

    Quoted from DanQverymuch:

Er, I could have sworn it was. Anyway, I know I surely have more than one, actually.
And that's an old pic. Some of those games are on the new shelves...

Just kicking back in the old basement game den and noticed, yeah, Wildfire is in this case now. This is what I get for being too lazy to go take a new pic.

Played tons of this as a kid. Probably the most of any electronic game, in fact. (Coleco Electronic Quarterback got old fast.)

Here's some pics of my gameroom. It's mainly a hodge-podge of all my hobbies. Little messy and unorganized at the moment. I do plan on doing some more rearranging to accommodate more pins later on.

Haha data east RR was my first pin. I Would love to get that one back again.

You did a really great job displaying your stuff! I'm not a wrestling fan, but if I was walking round your basement I would totally be stopping at each thing to check it out. Great job!

Is there a standard logo they'd have in the ring? That'd be a cool rug or floor decal!

    #22162 10 months ago

Also, a dented up, broken folding chair covering the outlet by your champion belt display table would be awesome!

    #22163 10 months ago

    Love the Blockbuster video sign!

Thank you, surprisingly I do not watch wrestling today, but grew up watching wrestling in the late 80s to early 2000s. Just more nosoligic really to my childhood. Funny you say that, I was actually looking for a WWF rug, or something of that nature for the base of my stairs when you walk down.

Thanks, I think I bought it off etsy it was pretty inexpensive and looks pretty good. It was hard to find blockbuster memorabilia when I was looking at the time.

Me likey your gameroom. That's the way a room should be set up for the owners. Walk around your private space and just soak up all of the memories the room provides. Being a move buff as well, I truly appreciate your movie statues, especially the T-Rex and the alien surrounded by their corresponding movie posters. That's why pinball machines are the perfect compliment to movie room themed game rooms because of the many movie/tv themed pinball machines we have now. Well done sir, well done.

Haha about the same price as a star wars, bksor or GB topper. It's made from this company out in Cali called Elite Creature Collectibles.

Is that what Jason really looks like behind his goalie mask? I’ve never seen any of the movies.

    Very nice game room.

    #22175 10 months ago

I have this "psycho" in the walk-in shower down in my game room. First time visitors get completely freaked out when they use the bathroom. I explain "don't make eye contact with him. He's my neighbor's illegitimate half brother in law and eventually he'll leave".

Much appreciated. Yeah, more or less. This direct Jason is taken from Friday the 13th part 3, but it's more lf a artist rendition more so than the exact way he looks. He's a little more exaggerated in the statue, but not too far off. He's an ugly mother. Lol

What's that neon sign guy on ebay's name, Mr. Gru? I've heard people in the neon signs thread (and maybe in this thread too) say that he does custom work sometimes. It seems like you could have the two vertical pieces made and then the top one made as well. All would be separate, but maybe give the same effect as if it's all one piece. A local neon sign shop could probably also come up with something.

This might seem strange, but does anyone know of some particularly cool chalk boards? Haha yes, really. My buddies and I do tourneys at my place and I keep meaning to write down each machine's high score and display it.

I've used mini whiteboards with erasable markers for pins you can't enter initials for. You might have more luck finding neat whiteboards as opposed to chalk boards. Just a thought.

Iscored is a one off cheap paid app that is ideal on a touch screen kiosk, but works on other screens too.

Players love being able to add their own scores, but you can disable this if you don't trust your friends.

    https://iscored.info/

I really like having the kiosk too, machines reset sometimes, or are sold and bought again, but no scores are lost on this.

    iScored is the best!

Cheap app. Found a 30” touchscreen monitor for like $100 and I’m set.

It’s great to keep track of your personal best.

Then when non pinhead friends come over, it quickly becomes motivating for them to learn some rules or strategy to beat their other buddies. This app actually converted some buds to get right into pinball past - ‘keep the shiny thing above the flippy things’

Was the touchscreen found on marketplace, or something you got new? If the latter, would love the model info. I use a whiteboard now but I have an unused 10" Fire HD tablet that I plan to get iScored setup on.

    #22184 10 months ago

I found a refurbished one. They seem to come up regularly, as they are used in so many industries.

    #22185 10 months ago

I found my monitor on marketplace, it's a Dell Inspiron One 2350. 23" sorry. I'd love to get a 40" touchscreen TV or something to mount on a wall, but this thing fits perfectly in this nook above the beer fridge.

Another thing that's nice about the app is that you can set up a blank copy of your collection for a tournament night.

    #22198 10 months ago

So under Lineup in the settings menu, make a duplicate of each game but give it a tag. I tag all my duplicates ‘Sip & Flip’.

Then when the boys comes over, we session for a couple hours trying to beat our current personal bests.

Then when it’s tournie time I click the tag icon at the top, deselect that line up, then select Sip & Flip and we’re good! Note you have to delete the score after the tourny so its fresh for next time, but I believe personal bests still save on the master list some how.

The one slightly annoying thing is, when you first log into your game room, ALL your tagged rooms show up. So you need to go up top, and deselect all the additional ones until it only shows your master list.

A local game store just started doing social media and I was their first onsite pickup video. Just thought I'd share to get them some traffic. Try not to judge haha, I was sorta put on the spot with my 'pinball knowledge' so take it with a grain of salt.
