    Thanks - come play sometime!

I do have an Aimtrak gun for the Atgames - it's not bad. I just got the yoke and driving box from Buystuff Arcades for it also, really good.

Thanks for the offer. I will take you up on that sometime. I haven’t played any of those pins yet.

I like the gun idea for Legends. I have one as well. No gun though.

Good trade!!!! I miss my BOP sometimes. Best sounds in ANY game.

    Quoted from gandamack:

I guess this would qualify as a gameroom question: anybody out there have a recommendation for a fußball (foosball) table? How much should I expect to spend? I looked on Amazon and prices were all over the map.

They are great fun, but avoid if you have little kids or they visit often unless their chins are higher up than the top of the table. Parents ran an amusement park as a kid. Insurance made us remove it after 2 broken teeth and an almost lost eye in less than 3 months. Pairs of kids like to run up to them, slam the poles in, and injure little kids on the other side. Only other game we were ever forced to remove for insurance purposes was sonic blast man and that was due to broken wrists.

    Cool, what park?

Personally I’d get a FABI or Roberto Sport. I don’t like tables where the rods extend through. I find Tornado tables clunky, their handles too wide/thick and the over all play slow. One persons opinion of course . Lots of love for the Tornado here.

If I had to do it over again I’d go Super Chexx over a foosball table.

My mom is up this weekend, maybe next weekend though. September is always busy in our house for some reason.

Only played TOM but I definitely like it better than Bride. Nice trade!

Thanks! Needless to say there was a couple bucks in cash going his way with the Bride to get that ToM.

Come by and check it out. I have enough games here I think I could run a league now, lol!

    Quoted from Ballderdash:

If I had to do it over again I’d go Super Chexx over a foosball table.

I have always had a secret love for the Super Chexx games but I have held off on purchasing for fear that with a little practice I would likely get better than all of my guests and it would be no fun for me or them to play. At least with pinball you are playing for a score rather than competitive against friends.

Exactly what happened with me and foosball. Everyone plays half hearted and gets frustrated when I try to play well. Hard to find people with matched skills and interests to have real competition.

100% this both games are amazing when you've got good competition, but without it, it is boring for everyone involved. The younger kids still love both a lot though regardless of winning and losing, they just like to spin the rods for some reason... which incidentally is a good reason to get telescoping rods on a foosball table, little kids will spin and push those tornado rods like they're going out of business, can be quite the hazard for kids who are the same height as the rods, and for gentlemen who stand too close to the table and some kid on the other side slams a rod through.

True with pool too. I am miserable to play against “for fun” because if I try, the other person hardly ever gets a shot. Playing 8-ball is nice winning beers off some guy at the bar. Not so much when out on a date and trying not to be an ass.

I have a FAS table , not sure why you would want those polls poking through the other side that just doesn’t seem right

    #20717 1 year ago

I used to be an avid Foosball player I prefer the tornado tables. I have a Favi for home and never play it. Only really play when the kids have games going and I will ply doubles with the worse player. Other than that unless you have good competition it’s not great.

Get Fabi if your concerned about kids.

Have a super chexx as well, that’s seems more fun when your not trying. You can miss the net on purpose etc.

I would say they both get used the same amount when we have some kids over. Lots of pre-owned foos around for ? the price of chexx.

Good thing about the Fabi is you can take it apart and make your own custom playfield.

Stay away from junk Foosball tables they don’t last.

Truth. And the bearings are crap so the spin and slide is slow and sticky.

    #20719 1 year ago

Foosball, superchex, ping pong and pool are all really fun games that I enjoy but are not much fun when playing with someone that’s not near your skill level. I find that air hockey is the best game for a novice to be able to at least have fun with someone who is more skilled. Pretty much everyone has played air hockey at some time in their life and the learning curve and hand eye coordination required to get decent is far less than the previously mentioned games.
Add to that it’s the only one of those games that doesn’t need a bunch of room surrounding it, it can be played with 4 players simultaneously and they can be found used for under $100 everywhere, it’s a great addition to a game room.
In the winter I play a game or two most nights with my girls who are 5 and 9 and it’s a lot of fun. They wouldn’t be able to play foosball ping pong pool or super Chex well enough to keep it interesting for me or them.
I remember watching the last gamer gameroom tour on YouTube a few years ago, this is a guy who has EVERYTHING and when he gets to the air hockey table he says something like “you cannot have a game room without an air hockey table”

    #20720 1 year ago

I've owned multiple Foosball tables over the years and they never get played. I agree on the air hockey if you have the space for one.
My first 8'x10' gameroom with the wife had a Cooper air hockey and Foosball tables in it. Air hockey got played by friends all the time. Foosball never unless I pestered the wife.
Bonus of air hockey over a pool table is you can cram it against a wall to save space.

    #20721 1 year ago

My bowler seems to be the equalizer game. Whereas I’m still better than most visitors, it’s closer and the skill set is like that of skeeball which everyone has played. It’s a big piece but probably the most loved piece by visitors

First time I'm seeing them all light up so beautifully. Some still require a few tweaks but just staring at them all lit up for ten minutes straight is my kind of meditation.

Thank you! TOTAN was last in the list together with Indiana jones. Found one in February and then gave up hopes for an IJ with the way prices have become for those. Then in May there was a local listing for TOM and IJ for basically the market price of just the IJ. So TOM - although always in mind but not on the wishlist, joined the club.

With the delay of CCr I don’t know when that will be. Any guesses or has anyone heard? Also wondering what people think the price/model they release will be?

I added my name to the waiting list with my distributor the day I paid the deposit for the CCr LE. Not expecting another royal edition but you never know. Also secured a topper - which Ryan said would be remade so it's just fine by me. Question is will they really get to them eventually or move on. Between decision making, announcements and production, there are months and sometimes years - and plans could change.

    3. Outrun (I've had more fun on my 1up version of this than any other arcade)
    4. Ghosts N' Goblins

Outrun is a good game but GnG is awesome. What’s the best version out there? Of love one but have never seen one for sale in anything but a hand held format. Are the arcade 1ups decent?

Ok, so I’m coming around on the under cabinet lighting effects. Those look nice. Just generic led strips?

I used led UV strip lights. if you want different colors, regular led strips will do great. I lined the edge of the underside of each machine, about an inch from the edge. If you want a different color under each machine, I'd think you'd need short individual strips for each machine. I bought 20 ft strips and it perfectly covered 2 machines. Run from the back left corner, to the front left, to the front right, to the back right corner, and then run it over to the back left of the next machine.

The black light messes with the camera so it's impossible to show what it looks like IRL, it's not so blue in person.

I haven’t posted much here, but I’ve been lurking for a while. Here is my humble addition to the thread.

Pins: Medieval Madness Remake, Royal Edition
    Godzilla Premium

    Arcade: Arcade Classics multicade

Other: Plank & Hide Pool table
    16’ Hudson Shuffleboard
    Dart board
    Wii
    Sisyphus table

This room is part of my windowless basement which was originally built to be an apartment, and as a result, includes a full bath and a full kitchen. The home theater is attached to the game room, as is a vault/safe room. I’ve lived here less than two years, so I’m still working on things, but the game room is pretty much done other than maybe some additional stuff for the walls.
