A little chaotic when the pickup truck is out of order.
But I got my little corner together of just two games thus far. Also it’s a workshop garage and not a “man cave” of sorts with fancy chairs and no tools.

LOL NO REFUNDS On VIDEO GAMES
Nice sign I need one of those

A 60+ year old bowling alley shut down and it was hanging there. I asked and they obliged. Thanks to Wheaton Bowl for the 50+ years of smoke that leached into the wood.

    1971 Ford Ranchero.
Has a 351 Cleveland and I’ve put a 4r70w behind it. Also other stuff to make it nice.
Still original and ratty paint that makes it a great daily driver that isn’t too nice.B02D7A9E-35C3-4402-94C5-C317D4C517EA (resized).jpegB02D7A9E-35C3-4402-94C5-C317D4C517EA (resized).jpeg

I thought it might be a Ranchero, but in the original photo, the seat belt looked like it could be a back seat.

I recognized the valve cover though: we're restoring my dad's 70 Mach 1. The engine is ready to go, though now it is a 414.

    Looks fantastic!
Should be rowdy! Love seeing Clevelands, it’s a loss art.
I also want to do a big stroker on mine. But I have many projects, cars and soon many pinball machines so one thing at a time.
First off getting this pinball hauler running again after, simply said, I was dumb running the car with 0 oil pressure. Reason for that was solely my fault.
So I have a few bearings to swap out..

    Quoted from Electronmagic:

Question for everyone who has painted their ceilings black: What did you do with the fiberglass insulation out by your rim joist? Paint it? Cover it? Change to some other kind of insulation?

Paint right over it. I used flat black latex with primer and went right over the galvanized heat ducts as well. It covers everything.

Pics of my garage arcade and bar build I’m in the process of building.

Put my United 5 Star Ball Bowler restoration aside in September. Several other games under sheets pending restorations.

Probably have another month until completed. Need to finish the mill work. Plumbing for the sink.

Back bar holds dual tap kegerator, 70 lb per day ice machine, and two bottle fridges. Frost unit and engineering a frost rail into the inside L of the bar.

Like restorations been a labor of love to say the least. Equally worth the time investment.

It's a 1968 Chicago Coin hockey table. Took the legs off and put casters on. It makes an awesome table. I'll put a picture up tomorrow, don't feel like going out in the backyard tonight.

Awesome garage gameroom! I’m starting my garage - gameroom conversion April 1st. I have a 2 car detached garage full of boxes, a few yard supplies and some junk. It needs a new roof, siding, insulation, floor either painted or carpet squares or something. Inside will be renovated with AC/heat mini split, faux brick or barn wood panels and finished with a bar, flat screen tv, juke box/sound system, seating, and a multi-cade and a few pins, and if I have room, a pool table. A lot to ask of that space, but I’m eager to try! I’ll post pics when it starts on Friday, 4/1…I’m borrowing great ideas from here, and I’m sure I’ll be asking for help and advice from people who’ve done it. Can’t wait.

    #19268 2 years ago
    Quoted from ramegoom:

Pre-gameroom and post-gameroom buildout. Floor is Polyaspartic with aluminum flakes added, ceiling is flat black. It took 36 gallons of paint to finish the ceiling. Bathroom roughed in and support posts boxed out.
    [quoted image]

Unless you built over 10 years ago, I'm surprised the inspector allowed the unprotected i-joists. IRC changed in 2012 and you have to fireproof the i-joists per APA SR 405. You either have to have drywall between the joists, drywall on either side of the joist, rockwool between the joists, or a full drywall ceiling. Or a full sprinkler system.

    #19269 2 years ago

This is fun to play around with. It's clunky and some functions don't work, even with the browser on the PC it's installed on, but I'm enjoying adding movie posters for every movie pin ever.

Hardly an expert. Only way to learn really is to do it…First time I’ve ever poured and polished concrete.

They are not perfect but I’m happy with the way they turned out. 3 coats of Behr Wet Look concrete sealer.

    Thanks for the post…OHEMIO

Deep love for OSU brother. Moved from Youngstown to Fort Wayne Indiana 3 years ago when GM Lordstown closed.

Saw this Ranch with a 3rd car garage (3rd car had a workshop on back and said this is the one) and put an offer in that day.

Always had a dream of building a bar to compliment the arcade. When in walked in to the garage the dream became reality!

    Take care brother! Go Bucks!

Thank you. I try to maintain their original look the best possible way, but with a tiny bit of customization for each game.

    Quoted from radium:

My Future Spa has cool white Comet retros with the clear dome for all GI. Cool white work best with this artwork. The reflection highlights the mirrored backglass and the headbox frames it all so well especially in a dark room. The future is usually associated with the theme of being "sterile" so that's the look I was trying for.

Side note. I kept incandescent bulbs in the light box behind the Future Spa logo, as it retains the original shimmer effect.

My Viking has sunlight white for comparisson. (Just the right amount of warm to 'boost' the already warm artwork.))) Photo makes it look brighter than it is.

Thanks. I got it quite a few years ago. I fixed the plumbing in a cottage and the guy gave it to me. Once he seen what I did with it he wanted it back! Just a nice conversation piece.

Gotta know. Which one is your favorite?

Metallica LE is probably the last game that would leave, it's sentimental to me. Maiden LE a close second, following by GnR LE. I also met Alice Cooper and loved his music growing up, so that one's also a keeper. The AC/DC Luci and Aerosmith LE are also special. Basically, the music pins are my faves and the rest are fun, but I'm not attached to them forever. In terms of play time, it's been nothing but GnR and Rick and Morty for a while now with a few games of Elvira sprinkled in here and there. Don't have much time to play them, I love tinkering with them and modding.

    Question for the group:
Do I need to do anything special to transport a neon sign in my car for a short trip?
I was thinking about setting it on top of styrofoam in the car?

I’m picking this up for my Gameroom.

    Thanks!
