Moved all my machine's into our new house. They are stored in my eventually work room and storage area. Last pictures are of my new game room with bar area. Excited to officially move in on December 28th.

It’s been a while since my carpet update. This will be the last one until I get my humble collection in the room. Was supposed to be a playroom but it’s now turned into a multi room which will be an arcade and kids Lego/hangout room. Put some lights up today…

Plastic is down while the house is still under construction. There’s a bit of an American Psycho feeling in there.

Walls and ceiling are black, tray ceiling is white.

    Quoted from Bos98:

A little Game Room update. Sold some and picked up a couple of new games and then felt compelled to rearrange most of the lineup. Then we had a good 2 hours of 4 player family fun tonight!

Is that projector the Epson UB5040? If so, I have the same one in my theater and love it. I found some incredible settings online for Bluray and 4K that you might be interested in trying out.

    Quoted from Boof-Ed:

It’s not an elaborate set up. Really just the pins. I did a quick shoot around the other night as it’s changed a bit since my last post.

Almost perfect, but you need a colored DMD for Scared Stiff.

Godzilla replaced CV, so here's where I'm at now. Only room for 10, so I'm keeping the games that get played.

That's an amazing lineup. And I always notice how much the JJP machines stand out with their huge backglass displays. I have to try one of them some day!

I want to see a machine where the whole backglass is a screen and you can pick your backglass image rather than being stuck with one.

Oh very cool. Is that the machine with the digital playfield and swappable parts so it can support multiple games? how do you like it?

    #18962 2 years ago

Yes Multimorphic P3. Heist was sitting in #2 spot on the top 100 yesterday (suspect shenanigan's). It's a good machine, i have three playfields and it plays 8 or 10 different games on it.

Got a couple more pins added and got some of my game room decor hung on the walls vs. when I moved in a few weeks ago. Michelangelo is holding down the spot for GNRLE which should arrive in January.

Finding a Kiss is like finding a diamond in a haystack……and then having to pay up for it. I also owned one though in the past. I don’t understand all the rules on AIQ but love playing mine again and again anyway. Is 13 ball MB enough balls on Appolo 13? Remember starting that before and my mind blowing up.

    Glad you are having fun.

Mostly because they don't come up used very often. I'd like to get a Premium at some point, but also not sure what I'd sell to make space. There's no room to own them all.

We got the Kiss I think just before things started getting crazy out of hand. And yeah 13 ball on Apollo is crazy. And like everyone says, really is like a 5 ball once things settle down. And I'm a huge superman fan so I had to track one down. It was always a dream to have 1 pinball machine. Crazy to think we have a "lineup" now. We are stopping at 5 now though.

Now that I have been around a while I have learned that many “dream” about having 1 pinball machine, but in “reality” they will have more than 1.

Are there other hobbies where this happens so prolifically? It’s literally same story for 90% of people. Person buys one pinball. Person says that is enough. Person quickly reneges and says will get a second one (for some reason like variety, or in case one breaks, or this one is for my kid). Then 2 becomes 4-30. I know this been said before many times but just fascinating.

    #18988 2 years ago

Firearms are the same way for me, but they are usually less expensive, they also hold their value pretty well also.

    #18989 2 years ago

Fishing gear, golf clubs it's all the same. Just pinball keeps it's value from new. Firearms work here in Aus, but second hand prices are good only if you buy second hand. I'll never get the money back i spent on my Browning T bolt new.

I've always planned on owning multiple pins since my early 20's. Took me 20 years since to get to a point where I can finally start my collection.. Started with my first NIB this year and planning on getting a few more in the next year or so. My office only has room for 6 pins max and that would be a tight squeeze, 4 would be comfortable while still having a usable room. I would have 50 pins if I had the room but short of renting a space and doing that I'm going to have to settle on 4 I really like.

Although i have room for 26 pins, i only have 5 up in my 'day space' where i sit with a few mates most days. The rest are down the back in a separate space and only turned on on Sundays for comp or if i have people staying here etc.

I do swap pins in and out the 5 every week or two so i get to play most of them for a few weeks every now and then.

If you have some storage space for extra pins in a spare room and a 3-5 pin lineup where you use them, you are golden. If i moved into an actual house that's how i'd run them.

    Quoted from Boof-Ed:

That poor Walking dead under the skylight.

There are no skylights. They are the windows you can see in the top of the wall the first shot. The sun shines in there in Summer only, and takes about half an hour to traverse that whole space. None of the machines get more than 10 mins a day sun (and only in summer) and they are only up there for a few weeks before they are rotated back down in the dark. Worry not for the zombies.

Time flies... It's been 3 or so years since I posted here (...). I've moved since my last post, so things have changed. Still need some more artwork for the walls, but here's the current state...

Someone mentioned that my pics didn't do a good job of showing JD, DI or WH2O. With some help (thanks @forceflow) I've added another pic showing that row from a different angle. I'm referring to this post https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/lets-see-pic-of-games-rooms/page/380#post-6668495 . Enjoy!

    Happy Holidays Everyone!

    Quoted from moat-pin:

Are there other hobbies where this happens so prolifically? It’s literally same story for 90% of people. Person buys one pinball. Person says that is enough. Person quickly reneges and says will get a second one (for some reason like variety, or in case one breaks, or this one is for my kid). Then 2 becomes 4-30. I know this been said before many times but just fascinating.

It's funny because I did buy one pinball back in 2005 (Sopranos). And for 15 years it apparently was enough. It wasn't until last year when I bought a Funhouse that I quickly decided two needed to be three and within 3 months 2 became 4. It's all i really have room for though, so now it will have to be one in for one out.
