look at you with the jokes. sorry, if I had room for 1000 games, I still wouldn't own an Xfiles.

Beautiful layout along with a Team Ball Bowler. Can't quite tell if that's a split alley or not..
I keep saying I need to stop building game rooms, but if I did another, maybe not Pirate Theme,
but I'm thinking it would have a rustic look..
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:I call the current stage "Organized Chaos"
You got some serious competition in the organised chaos front!

I touched that one up, just need to get it clearcoated, rebuilt, and put back in the game... one of many on-going projects that's stopped at the 'need to find a place that can clearcoat the playfield' stage. Mantra to self: I will not strip another playfield 'till the ones I've already stripped are rebuilt!

Very cool love the theme, where did you find that wall paper at I may use that on one of my walls.
Quoted from pacman11:Very cool love the theme, where did you find that wall paper at I may use that on one of my walls.
it's not wall paper. it's actual textured wood paneling that looks and feels like real boards.

I was guessing he was referring to the awesome rum barrel wall paper. Still love that look.
Quoted from Yelobird:I was guessing he was referring to the awesome rum barrel wall paper. Still love that look.
yeah I was talking about the awesome rum barrels sorry should of been more detailed.. I like the walls too..
ahhh, the mural. Yes, it took me awhile to find the exact mural I wanted for the end. I initially wanted a straight shot down the hull of a vintage sail ship. but every mural shot I found, wasn't straight on and wouldn't have given the perception correctly. So ended up going with the barrel stacks instead.
Quoted from TheBeefSupreme:Still a lot of work to do. Moved in early July and had none of these. I may have gone overboard early. Still need to change the flooring, add a bar area and add a couple circuits. Hopefully I can find some buddies in the area that enjoy pinball![quoted image]
Wish I lived closer. Great lineup!

Proving once again,
It's not the size of the collection that matters, it's what you do with the space...
Consistent art direction and attention to detail!
I think some guys should hire you to design their spaces...

I thought of opening a business to do that. Plan out spaces, and do theme integration. I had several themes I was thinking of doing before settling on the one I did. Steampunk, forest, or Sci Fi space ship interior. More budget you would have to work with. the more cool effect toys I could incorporate. There are still things I want to add to mine. (Creeky ship sounds that come on once the lights are turned on) and swaying lanterns that would sway in unison to give the effect of a rocking ship.

What’s going on with the floor there ?

That part of my basement had the old 8x8 asbestos tile when I bought the house so I repainted it a high gloss red.
I don’t have any place to move my machines so I had to paint in in 3 phases and let it dry good before moving everything to its place.
I also just broke down and stored my 9’ pool table which was in the middle so I could redo the room

Got it, that’s going to look great!
Made a few new additions since my last post so here are some updated pics.

Big fan of this set up! I am a big fan of variety and anyone who has raw thrils JP!
Question for those with UV under-cabinet lighting: did you use UV kits designed for pinball? Do they plug into each machine?Did you just get led strips and have them all run on the same power? I'm finishing up construction on my pin room and am planning for some black light carpet. I'm trying to understand the easiest or best way to do this.

I really appreciate that! Your collection is amazing. I always love it when you post pics of your setup and any new games you get it. I have lusted after your Star Wars Battle Pod for years!
Quoted from xsvtoys:Oh man I would have to get a cutout or something of Michael Palin to go along with the Centurion.

What's so funny about Biggus Dickus?
I made my own under-cabinet lighting for my B/W games and ran the wiring through the vent holes in the bottom of the cabinets. Page 14 or 15 of this thread should show the effects. See post #746 to see how they were made. However, the easiest way is to just buy some pre-made ones.

This is my favorite thread. and the raw thrills JP next to the stern JP is maybe the greatest thing ive ever seen. except perhaps the guy with the tron secret door, but even he didn't have this
well done!

this is a space that screams COLLECTOR! well done. Collecting movie props and physical sports memorabilia like players' skates seems like dangerous rabbit-holes to go down.
Love that putting machine, does it get a lot of play?

Thanks! But nothing beats the Tron secret door. That is so damn cool.

I appreciate that! The great part about the collecting is that there is a cool or unique story attached to almost all of my favorite pieces. Things that make them truly one-of-a-kind (at least to me).
The mini golf game is awesome. 3 very different 9 hole courses with unique themes. Lots of secret passages to shoot for. And the actual physics are excellent (i.e. angle of your shot, speed, etc). Its been a hit both for kids and adults.

I swear I’ve watched that scene hundreds of times, and it never ever fails make me laugh. I don’t know if the story is true that the extras playing the guards were told to stand there and not change their expression and didn’t know what would be coming, thus making their reactions real. But I want to believe it.

True story, that guard was a set extra and was only given one instruction, do not laugh!
Quoted from jsyjay:More a garage than a games room at the moment!
Not far off finishing my classic mini project so I can get a few more pin back in soon...

how do those jack stands not eat holes in the carpet?
Finally got around to bringing some of my EM pins back down to the basement, after getting a new floor installed.
This basement side room will continue to be my retro EM pinball room as well as my place to store and archive my pinball manuals and vast pinball flyer collection.
Below are a couple of pictures of those games with my new marmoleum floor finally installed.
Not very pretty or custom or as nice as a lot of the other gamerooms in this topic thread,
but it is what it is.
I still have about 10 more pins to set back up in the basement, some of which will be Solid State pins,
but i think I am leaning more toward EMs at the moment.

I a getting too old for this hobby, as I strained my back, while setting games up.
If it were not for my nephew (in-law) helping
it would not be possible to get these games set back up in the basement, let alone anywhere.
I like Cover Girl also, I always was attracted to that and played it a lot when I visited the MOP in Banning. That entire row of EMs rules.
Quoted from Pin-Pilot:There is just something cool about EM's
Quite a few somethings...(damn Gottlieb logo lol)
