Anyone know a good site to buy art prints and posters that isnt crazy expensive? Every time I find something I like its $150 for 24x18 print or something stupid.

Legendary wall art is what I used. Not cheap, but not $150 for that size and 10% off coupon codes

I don't buy prints only original art, but i buy my T shirts from redbubble, great quality and fast service at a reasonable price and the artists get paid.

    They do posters though

Love the Willy Wonka slot, we played a lot of that one at the casino! We'd love to get an Airplane! slot machine in our game room.

DavidLee got his games rearranged yesterday. Looking good.

You can even see what’s available to play while on the back patio

If you're bored, I did an entire thread on my basement build which includes my theater. It might give you some ideas. I built it myself after probably a few hundred hours of research and phone calls, so I'm more than happy to offer whatever expertise I have in the area.

I went for open concept... I can black out the whole room with roller shades now (not pictured). Really happy with it, great for parties, watching sports and movie night.

the pins have multiplied since this pic

Maybe…maybe not. You can do quite a bit of work yourself and save a lot of money and take your time with procurement.

Also depends what you like to spend your money on. I don’t travel, don’t have a boat or cabin etc don’t spend much on entertainment. I spend my money on pinballs and even more on pinball parts/ reproduction parts.

I did all of the planning, framing, plumbing, electrical, and finish work in the basement myself. I only hired out the drywall, tile, and carpet. I can't speak for anyone else, but my basement is a product of saving, delayed gratification, and manual labor over a long period of time.

    This is so true!
I got into flying years ago and quickly figured out that if I was going to stay in that hobby and actually own a Cessna, it would be the only thing I'd ever do! So I got out of flying and enjoyed other things. Now it's pinball!

Thank you! Thank you! This the type of encouragement I need

The basement is already finished, but it's now a matter of turning it from kids playroom into tween/teen/dad hangout.

The pic below gives a sense of space. The gym is staying (I know...opportunity for more pins!) and the screen (120") is our outdoor screen currently inside...

    Any ideas are appreciated!

I've built 3 home theaters now. The last one, especially, pretty much sold the house when the new buyers walked in. Your best bet is to get accurate measurements of your room, and figure out your potential projector locations. Then go to a projector website that has calculators connected to projector models. You will likely eliminate several immediately, unless you have no mounting restrictions. Then start playing around with screen sizes, and figure out a combination that will allow all of your seating to be within the optimum viewing envelope. I could have gone up another step from my 120" screen, but it would have shifted the seating back 2 feet. I have my room set up so that I can get the vacuum behind the third row (second riser.) We've all been to the guy's house with a TV way too big for the room: don't do that in a home theater.

Feel free to PM with theater questions. I'm happy to share what I've learned from success and failure alike.

I had to wait 3 years after building my house to save up enough for the basement project. I didn't want to leave my solid cherry pool table behind, so I measured out where it would go, and tiled the floor where it went. The pool table company then moved it from my old house to the new one, and it sat under the cover until I started the project. I then built a protective box around it when framing started. The wood from the box was then used to build my risers. When I show people the basement, they don't believe me until I show them the pictures.

They're immaculate and all modded up nice. See pics of my game room. I sold ACNC and replaced it with Iron Maiden however. Awesome game!!! Look me up if you do come to Traverse. I'm only about 10 miles from the airport. I also have a guest room if you drink too much!

Yes I agree, that looks great. There comes a time when you realize, you're not the only one in the world who likes things neat, clean, and organized. I love that feeling I get when I see a lit up TV on the wall, and there isn't a wire in sight....

I went the other direction with wall switches. Used arcade buttons and fabricated a plate to hold them in place. Visitors can't resist pushing those buttons, turning off the lights in the room.

Not sure why I never did this, makes total sense. Maybe after I run the new circuit for my 1960’s Felix clock… which don’t know when I’m get to. I tell myself “winter.” Pinball sucks the life out of all other hobbies lmao
