    Quoted from Mopar:

I went all out and picked up a nice sound system for the additional game room.
Not easy finding Metal, but it does play okay, and looks alright near the wooden
    phone booth..
    [quoted image][quoted image]

I was wondering where my radio went.

Come on over, you can stand in there and I'll throw darts. You'll see, plenty of room

I would take the dart risk just to come hang out in that beautiful game room, excellent!!

Finally have all my games working. Just need to rewire the Firepower coin door.

All displays work it just depends when you take the picture.

Love spending some time in the arcade with my little one this Father’s Day weekend.

WTF you get a whole weekend?!?

My daughter and I were just playing some Walking Dead tonight...good times indeed

    I gave myself a 4 day weekend.

Well I got Friday off for JuneTeenth (aboot time, day off or not), and Monday off because my wife have a surgery coming up....but it doesn't really feel like a " 4-5 day Father's Day weekend " to me

    Awesome lineup

I get the feeling your game room is going to hold a lot of pins..

    Quoted from drummermike:

I was wondering where my radio went.

The person (really nice guy) that I got the radio from gave this other guy my email because he wants
that particular model to match his other badly. I kept saying I'd like to help, but sorry. I'm not a flipper
"AT ALL!", but he offered what I couldn't refuse, and now it looks like I'm going to be picking up a
1937 RCA that maybe doesn't quite have the sound, but it is a little fancier. Maybe next week. I'll post a pic..

    #17770 2 years ago
    Quoted from Mikespinball:

but I can't understand how you are going to play them like that. lol

I'm not, I'm going to walk on them... to sort the ceiling out... which is quite high at that point, but not as high as some thought! That would be impressive stacking them like that!!

    Quoted from Mopar:

I get the feeling your game room is going to hold a lot of pins..

Time will tell, but stacking them like this will certainly maximise the pin holding potential... maybe I could go for a slot in the Guiness book of World Records... most pinballs stored in an 8m x 8m room

    Quoted from pinballslave:

maybe I could go for a slot in the Guiness book of World Records..

Your Guiness record may have a little competition. At one time, this was my next game room, but that didn't
quite work out as planned. Hard to see, but believe me. 40' deep, rows of 5 on each side..

I see air gaps between them

Jolly Park wasn't able to sustain the weight of the Masquerade head on it and when I got home from work yesterday this was waiting for me! Strange how the head rotated 90deg as it fell, and just sat there upright!!

Clearly should not rely on packing tape to hold heads against the cab, especially when putting a 4 player EM head on top of it!!

    Oh damn!
If you still have so much open space left, why do you need to consolidate so much?
You have it lined up that that many more machines is shortly coming in?

    #17775 2 years ago
    Quoted from Mopar:

You have it lined up that that many more machines is shortly coming in?

Indeed! I've had games in storage for around 9 years, waiting for this space to be finished... now it is, I'm moving them across... I guess I'm about 15% there... it's a slow process... each game needs to be checked for mice, things sticking out of the bottom that might scratch the new floor (already missed a nail sticking out where a plastic foot/lug had come off!), and bad odors, especially if associated with mold!!... my wife has a VERY sensitive nose... any slight incling that there could be a sign of mold and she'll have me burning the lot!! Mold killer and aftershave have been used on a couple of occasions Now I need to add 'security of head to body' to that check list... I also need a stable platform to put some boards on as a working surface to do the ceiling... I have plans using suspended back-lit playfields up there.

    #17776 2 years ago
    Quoted from pinballslave:

each game needs to be checked for mice,

Yea, I board off the head's opening, tape off the coin return, and once in a while those
mice still find a way in. When taking them out of storage, I vacuum and Lysol the hell
    out of them..
Here's how I store my games to make sure the head doesn't fall off..
Haha. Actually, this one's waiting to be picked up to go coast to coast..

Nice Disney ride posters! We have them hanging in our living room. In fact it’s hard to find a single room in our house without something Disney in it. The stairs to our gameroom have all the postcards that they send us when we do a resort stay.

Well, a little switch up in the upper game room. A gentleman wanted the GE floor model radio badly,
so I replaced it with a 1939 RCA. The RCA's taller, so instead of in front of the window, I placed it next
    to the phone booth..
The GE picked up more stations and I did like those wooden fins in front of the speaker, but I still maybe
think the RCA's a better looker..

I finally got to ride that a few years back when I went out to Anaheim to run a half marathon. Cheesy but great. I would have loved it as a kid.

The house is finally finished and we closed on it Thursday. I’ve started moving stuff into the house itself and I’m using “The Ballshack” for storage at the moment. I’m going to pick up a MM tomorrow and it will end up being the first pin installed. After I get all the stuff my wife wants done completed, I’ll get to hit storage and fill it up from there.

Had a chance to enjoy my first beverage on the front porch of the shack last night. After almost a year long journey to get there it was a big exhale.

Since it’s a pool house and people will go in there wet, I had them install commercial grade vinyl plank for the floors. Pleased with how it all turned out.

Honey, if I get the basement finished out can I get a pinball machine?

    Thats how this started.

I am continuing to acquire basement space and have been trying to get a wide variety of machines from different eras and manufacturers. Just picked up my first E.M., a Gottlieb El Dorado today and its a blast! Picked up an arcade 1up Outrun to go with the multicade and it is tons of fun. Still having fun decorating the walls and picking up backglasses and marquees in trades. Also really liking laser discs as wall hangers of all things.

Really looking forward to Pinfest this year to pick up some more goodies for the wall.

Thanks for all the help finding, trading, and fixing these pinside!

Don't forget about the NASA tourism posters. They work great in a game room and are free, I had Costco printing make a couple of enlargements for cheap.

They can be a bit tough to find as NASA's page doesn't always work but they are available in 200mb each TIF images so they can easily expand to full poster size
