not only that a part of the playfield drops down, and clear acrylic is flush to playfield to get to stand ups.

Congrats on the GNR!
My wife always refers to the orthodontist as the "dentist" too!

Thanks! We love our basement and spend a lot of time down there. We are thinking of moving to Arizona within the next few years, and we'll really miss having that extra space.
Quoted from atrainn:Nice groove coaster!
Thanks! I originally bought it for my daughter who is super into Vocaloid, but it quickly became one of my favorite games in my collection. I had been looking for a nice one for a while, and I was lucky that a super cool guy on Pinside helped hook me up with a beautiful example out in California. Most people who come over really seem to love it. It's definitely way more popular than the pins with non-pinheads.

Tossed... that was very gently placed!
Quoted from Boof-Ed:Well that’s it. I’m at capacity now! Not sure what I’ll do when GnR finally gets here.
I’ve been forced to put a few games into storage position. It’s a little heartbreaking but at least I am not forced to sell them.

Well, you could get rid of one of those Banzai Runs...just saying

Amazing place! Love the wall decorating playfields. Why don't you turn the Champion Pub and STtnG round 90deg so you can get to them better?

Both not working. That is my work area if you could call it that.
Anyone have a gameroom with woodrail pins all over? Maybe lit up? A speakeasy theme would be cool if I owned them and had the room.

Not all over as I only have one woodrail (more on the wish list for sure), but doesn't look too shaby next to another oldie. Wife just got me a sign I think looks cool.

I remember going to your after party in Chicago and helping with the spiderman you took...you got an awesome set up buddy! Thanks for having me and the other guys over when there was nothing else to do early in the expo!

20 pins? What’s square footage? Nice game room.
Quoted from Roostking:Did you inherit this equipment?
Nope, this is the result of 25 years of collecting. About 10 years ago I moved house, moved countries in fact, and have not yet got the new place in a condition ready to set these things up... was reconstructing an old house, plus extending it... took 8 years with all the planning to get it in a state where we could live in it, and the last 2 spent on the 'man cave' side of it, the main pinball room being the next on the agenda. 'Till that's ready, the pins are mainly folded away, waiting! This is the current state of the main pinball room, working on the skirting at the moment. Progress is slow due to having young kids.
Quoted from Methos:Looks like the opening of King Tut's tomb.
Assuming king Tut was a pin-head

That is a huge room, looks awesome and looks like you are close to finishing it - Assuming the cabinets are a bar? What kind of lights for the ceiling, and what will the ceiling finish be?
Quoted from ToucanF16:20 pins? What’s square footage? Nice game room.
20. Of the space they are crammed in to, not sure of the space being occupied. The entire house is around 3500 sq. Ft.
There is more space down there but my wife says the kids need a play area and there is a room down there dedicated to my 9 year old’s Legos.

Not sure what you mean there... you mean you assume the cabs in the previous photo will be made into a bar? In which case, no... they all have heads and will hopefully be complete working games... one day!
As for the ceiling lighting, good question! I've got a load of stripped playfields that I'm planning to use as a kind of suspended ceiling, with any large holes blocked off, and with lighting behind them... thinking of using RGB lighting for this. Another circuit will turn on a load of wall lights that will shine on back glasses... a 3rd and 4th circuit will light up some normal ceiling lights, one circuit for each 'corridor' of pins... that's the plan at the moment...
Quoted from pinballslave:Not sure what you mean there... you mean you assume the cabs in the previous photo will be made into a bar? In which case, no... they all have heads and will hopefully be complete working games... one day!
I'm pretty sure he's talking about the big cabinet looking thing in your pictures.
Glad to see you're making progress! Time to get back to work in mine. Tore down the rest of the walls yesterday...

Yes, I was talking about the row of cabinets clamped together in front of the window.
Ceiling plan sounds cool, I couldn't figure out what the wires were since the ceiling was drywalled I didn't think suspended
For all you electricians and experts who built and wired their own gamerooms out there, can you recommend the proper electrical setup for a basement with 15-16 pins and several other electrical devices (toppers, a tv, etc.)? I bought this house in 2009, built in 1995, before I was a collector. The current system can support almost all the games, but if I turn on all of them, I blow a fuse. I’m concerned I’m asking too much of the current system, no doubt designed for average household use. If I want an electrician to boost the electrical, what would you suggest I step up to? Thank you!

20A circuits. 5 pins per circuit.
Quoted from ReadyPO:Yes, I was talking about the row of cabinets clamped together in front of the window.
Ahh, that's just a work bench, the top was taken off to use as an actual work bench surface somewhere else. It started life as a bespoke but ugly kitchen unit on the upper floor of the house when I bought it. It made a good work bench as I progressed through the floors, finally ending up in the pin room... it's swan-song will be to support the skirtings while I paint them, then it will be skipped.
Yes, the ceiling is drywalled, which holds the rockwoll insulation in place. That room is part of the extension to the house, so just one storey... it can get down to -25c here, so reducing heat loss is important
Certainly looking forwards to seeing that ceiling finished off! It's been a long wait!!
Quoted from Paseb:wow awesome collection, where did you get the mat for each pin?
eBay. Some guy in China selling printed bath mats I stuck to the cement floor with carpet tape.
This was my choice between a NIB GNR or a used Metallica as My first-ever pin - delivered by the awesome guys at Great American Pinball. Turned a spare bedroom into a game room. Not too bad for a newbie. Loving My LZ premium so far - awesome fast paced game.
