Quoted from Drenden:Can you tell me what you’re using for surround lighting?
I'm using RGB LED strips with an aluminum channel similar to this one - https://www.amazon.com/Litever-Aluminum-Channels-Mounting-LL-020-WA/dp/B06Y2ZTPKV/

I moved to your glorious city last week.
I'm pleased to announce that I've finished unpacking all my shit and was able to set up the first edition of Lake Effect Laundromat™ this afternoon.
Let's hang when the pandemic finally gets its ass kicked OK?

Welcome! Post-COVID you should come out to league or a tournament.
Just starting to get my game room together. Better than having 3 machines in the front room! Can fit a total of 5 pins, mame arcade and my sons 1up. Still trying to figure out lighting and flooring.

Great game room. That's why I bought a Breakshot.
Quoted from yaksplat:Great game room. That's why I bought a Breakshot.
Thanks, Breakshot is bolted to the floor not going anywhere. I wish I still had a whirlwind.

Quoted from shirkle:spagano314 that’s a beautiful room.
And actually pictures of a room which this thread is about if I am not mistaken.
Quoted from gliebig:Put some finishing touches on the blacklight room this weekend.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I love this! The blacklight is a super cool touch. Where did you purchase the carpet? We're going to replace the carpet in our theater and theater lobby/gameroom with something similar to what you have.

Sorry, I don't remember. I did a search for black light carpet. There are a few places that sell all different designs.
Quoted from woody76:New gameroom finally getting setup. Room for 14 pins and a couple arcades. I sold a few games and looking to replace with a couple more. Probalby GNR, MET, and MB. I need to get all my wall hangers and stuff up. [quoted image]
It's really dark.

Carpet is kind of distracting.

I think it just needs a few more neons on the wall to really brighten it up

Yeah, the cat seems to be having trouble finding the egress.

Did you turn on your iPhone?

a couple other projects, but it's coming..

So that's what you've been doing. Did you ever get that coin changer up and running?
Not as elaborate or big as alot of the great ones here, but its the room the wife and daughter give me LOL
Can easily and comfortably fit 5 down there. So naturally I have 7

Nice! I particularly like the Marilyn backglass on Playboy. If I had a Playboy I'd definitely want Marilyn on it. The wife and daughter have no problem with it?

Is that “Stripes” playing in the background?
Moved the arcade games in tonight, which means I’m coming at you with more pictures. 420sqft packed with a nice variety.
The only thing left on this side of the basement is to install the doors. (4’ entrance, looking at French doors). Then it’s on to the other side of the basement. Might need some decorating on these bare walls.
Our new house is nearing completion. My wife loves the fancy new everything upstairs, but I keep taking pictures of the future pinball room!
Gonna put a bar on one side and TV on on side, and build in some lighting around the top edges so the room can be lit without so much light that it'll blind us when we play our games. Wooo!

Dayum!!!! That’s pretty badass!!

I see some Strats and what appears to be a Les Paul. Also a Deluxe Reverb?

I got that from a fellow pinsider that made it. It totally changes the look of the game. And the girls like it as well. Very tastefully done.
Quoted from Aflacjack:Is that “Stripes” playing in the background?
Good ear. Yes it was. I was watching it on the laptop
Quoted from shirkle:the_director Holy neon. That sign at the end is amazing.
I just got it hung tonight! It was in Tilt Arcade in Concord Mills in Concord, NC. Then hung in Central Drive-in in Norton, VA. I bought it from Buddy doughslingers on here and had it repaired by a local neon guy and just got it back a few days ago. Super unique and I love it haha.
Quoted from Pahuffman:I see some Strats and what appears to be a Les Paul. Also a Deluxe Reverb?
Good eye! Eric Johnson Signature Strat, 2x PRSs (CE24 and Swamp Ash Special), 1x Gibson SG and the Les Paul. The Fender is a 73' Twin blackface modded. I have a 72' Pro Reverb too out in my band space. The Twin is my primary though.

The wife wanted a new house built, with a pool. All I asked for was a pool house and a shop. On the far right in the 3rd bay of the garage it is walled off and will be insulated/HVAC with sliding door access. That will be my shop.
On the far left, connected by breezeway/security checkpoint-- the "pool house" which upon it's completion will have a .5 bath, hvac, fridge, icemaker and the rest will be pinball machines and a bar to sit at. It will also have a 10x30 covered poolside porch with a fire pit. The "work in progress name" for the pool house is "Dave's Ballshack."

Excellent!! Can't wait to read "Dave's Ballshack" in a huge neon sign on your wall!

I never thought I would say this to anyone, but Dave, nice ballshack!
Final post for 2020. Updated my collection this year with BKSoR, Elvira LE, and JP LE. Gone are POTC Stern and Spider-man. It has been a crazy year, staying in, working from home, no Pinball shows to attend. Luckely I have friends with nice gamerooms so we played a lot of pinball! All we hope for is a better 2021, going back to a bit more normal.
Stay safe, stay healthy, keep building your great gamerooms and keep playing!

I heard that Dave already had the neon sign made, but there was an error.
Unfortunately, the sign maker omitted the letter "h" from the neon.

This is great. In my imagination world where fantasy lives, I always think that the ideal place for a game room is across the yard on the other side of the pool. It would be combined with a shaded lounge area for the pool and a bathroom. It sounds like this is exactly what you are doing. Hope to see more pics of the progress.

The world is so jaded now, I'm not sure if sarcasm or not.

I don't think it is..I agree with him. Sounds awesome.
