Quoted from d0n:What are we looking at? A gameroom or a storage barn?
Hahaha now what are we looking at. The start of a stunning game room.

Quoted from punkin:Love that space at the back. Calling out for a bar.
That would be a nice area to have a bar, but the thing is, much of the right side
is the stairway to the downstairs' game room, and on the left is a window to the
spare bedroom which will be converted into a doorway. A bar would have been nice..
Quoted from fnosm:How many machines are recommended per 20 Amp circuit?
Assuming 115VAC
You shouldn't exceed 85% of the maximum amperage, so that brings us to 17A
P=I*V=17A*115V = 1955W
If you use a Kill-A-Watt, you can determine the exact wattage for your machines, possibly before and after going from incandescent to LED.
If each machine is about 2A, or 230W, then you can easily get 8 machines on one line.
As long as you don't exceed 1955W, you'll be fine on a single 20A circuit.
Quoted from Daditude:It looks nice to me
Quoted from RyanStl:Yours looks good to me.
Thanks guys. Very grateful for what we have and to a amazing friend who keeps a poor pinhead not pinless.
Here's a few pics of the more used side of the gameroom. Wife and I shoot daily for a couple hours. TV will be home to a golden tee pedestal eventually/hopefully. 20201004_221125 (resized).jpg20201004_221237 (resized).jpg20201004_221219 (resized).jpg

I see a Scientific Batting Practice lined up for the new room nice! One of the favorites in our home arcade. Just don't see games like this often.

Early on when I first got into the hobby I received a call from a Pennysaver wanted ad I put out
and someone needed machines moved. It looked cool, but I had no idea what it was and I bought
a Batting Practice for $10.00 along with a few other machines for very cheap. Stupidly I traded it. I found
another one that was apart, but complete for $200.00. I then knew a little better and traded that one
for 5 machines including a Skill Roll before Skill Rolls were well known.
The one I have now I paid a pretty good buck for and I'll be keeping it. I still kick myself for not
hanging onto the first one which was in about the same condition as this one.
How do you like it's game play? A couple Springs ago I restored a Keeney's League Leader which
many seems to like..
Quoted from Grandnational007:Yeah, but that Ringer though!
I presently have 3 stand up machines set up and mostly all like Skill Roll best,
but for me it's Ringer..
Quoted from ToucanF16:No pinball in my place. I live is a 700 ft.² place. There’s barely room fir the basics!
You ready? Our place is under 700 sq ft, recently replaced the couch with a smaller one to bring the current project machine home from the workshop (my folk's garage...lol). I took this picture with my back against the slider that leads to our tiny little back porch. See how excited my wife is?

Amazing games you have there!!! Love the old stuff and mixing up the arcade with some good old fashion skill games. Rather impressive to me with the tools they had how amazing the mechs are in these games. We love the Scientific baseball but then again I love All things odd and unusual!! Oddly, We've been having lots of fun with the simple yet challenging All Star Hockey and Motorama lately lol. Not deep code games but fun to compete!

Thanks. Its simple fun. Picked it up from a great Pinsider in Seattle that had Mike Hasonov ($$$$$) restore it. Looks like new only shiny lol.
Love these rooms. They're fantastic!
This is my 2020 walk about video.
Lots of changes in 2020, but very few visitors for obvious reasons.

Nice, drop some acid in there and your teleported to Berkeley circa 1970. Love it
So, you have to envision this.... I only have room for 4-5 pins. Here's the Virtual current/future lineup: 1) a rare HUO Flight 2000. No playfield wear and almost perfect backglass; 2) One of the best DILEs. Has the uber topper that goes well, and condition wise, near perfect; 3) Arriving in a few days, a rare NIB WoZ Ruby Red; 4) Coming in a few weeks.......GnR CE.
Not bad for a small lineup, right?

Prewar nerds or Vegas magicians lol. Loves doing those celeb Resto’s and charges accordingly!
Another humble- really!
We need to get a definition of what humble really means for game rooms.
Nice layout!

It's somewhere around 1300sqf.
Total number of games is somewhere around 60, four jukeboxes (one is upstairs).

Wow. Amazing space. When I see rooms like this, I always wonder, when you decide to go play, do you turn everything on, or just the machine that you're going to play? Do you have a bank of switches that powers everything with all machines permanently switched on, or do you manually turn each game on?

The games are on banks of 5-7 games that are Alexa controlled (the pins, anyway). So I normally only ever turn on the bank I'm interested in using (which is almost always the EM bank).
The full thing with blackligts and neon is only on when I host events (normally once or twice a year), or to make the odd video.

woah, never knew this existed. I have a cabin on black lake so pass grayling all the time. I’ll have to stop it!
Quoted from Yelobird:Prewar nerds or Vegas magicians lol. Loves doing those celeb Resto’s and charges accordingly!
I love seeing people get paid what they're worth!
There's so much room out there for other people to start meticulously restoring old coin-op too. Anyone could come along and drink Mike's milkshake here, but no one seems to come close.
Just like how HEP has a huge waiting list, Mike Hasanov can take on whatever projects he wants and charges what he wants, and still has a line out the door.
Personally I'm not interested in paying the price for stuff that's been restored to "better than new", but I do love to stare at it.

love the Sea Devil!!
Are your first 2 sit-down racers linked, and then one solo of a different type?

Well, I was just up at Camp Grayling a few weeks ago, beautiful country. Could not find a steak house open though - any recommendations in case I make a return trip?

I don't have anywhere near the room. I am re-doing the walls, but here is my most recent pic:

We have a couple of places where you can get a steak cooked, but they aren't steak houses per-say.
Dead Bear Brewing - Their beer is, IMO, terrible, but the food is good.
Gray-Rock Cafe. - Good food, kinda dive bar feel.
Tinkers Junction. - Not known for the steaks, but I've had them there before.
The biggest thing is, kitchen staff is changing all the time sine the reopening, so food might be hit and miss.
There's an actual steak house up I75 about 30 miles from Grayling called Big Buck. I haven't been there since they reopened, but it got some good reviews.

Thanks, that will be the one to try - looks like they have a home brew cider too.
