I posted pics of my new room earlier in the thread ... Here's a little update.

Put up the 18 downlights. Three circuits, all with dimmers. Should provide good lux for pin playing.

Carpet went down this week, and I fitted the 8 floor sockets. Each socket is on its own 20amp circuit. There are about 15 wall sockets, three sockets to one 20amp MCB.

Should start moving in pins in about a week or so.

So what's a flight from NJ to NZ run?

Half way around the world in the name of pinball.

F@ck Dave, might have to take a trip across the pond to christen that room when you get it done

Maybe some day I will know what its like to be filthy rich and have the room for 50+ pins in my HOUSE but I doubt it. Its still kind of surreal to even say that I have a sheet of invisiglass now lol. For now, the Getto Creek Gameroom has an updated lineup since Card Trix was sold to a friend and I have a new project incoming and picked up this sweet Grand Slam. image.jpgimage.jpg

Is there such a thing as 3/4? I think they just fly the other way once it's further than 1/2!

    #1564 10 years ago

Yeah, you could have gone just a 1/4 of the way around.

The Space Mission in the last pic is restored and is a great game. I'm now working on the United Ball Bowler in the back ground. My wife and I bought this condo a little over a year ago. Spent the good part of the first year remodeling the 1850 square feet upstairs. Didn't know how I was going to adapt to condo life at first always owning a house. I have to admit it's great. I play around with my arcade games drinking beer while someone cuts my grass and plows my snow.

Although the basement is unfinished. It's 1450 square feet. Going to start remodeling soon and should have it done before winter. I wish the ceiling was higher but given the fact that my last game room was only about 700 square feet and most of my games were in the garage. I think it will do.

Cool collection. I'd love a couple of nice EMs for my collection.

I have a new found respect for EMs and SSs after the IFPA10 finals.

How far are you from Blenheim? I have family there and they have been wanting us to visit. I can use them as an excuse to go to NZ, and then just go to your place instead

You got some head room there my friend and a lot of work ahead of you to fix it up. Wish I had that much sq. ft.

The shire is about 1 hour from where I live.

If you're meaning the LOTR village thing. That's in Morrinsville.

I haven't been there but people say its cool.

I haven't watched any of the LOTR movies. Not my bag.

I started watching Hobbit on the plane to Germany. After 30 mins I had to stop it. It was so boring. Dwarves and elves and dragons. Zzzzzzzz.

Blenheim is at the top of the South Island.

Auckland is in the top bit of the north island.

Probably a 1 hour flight. Or a days drive. Would be a nice drive too, down to Wellington then onto the interisland ferry into Picton, then a short drive to Blenheim.

    Nice trip.

I still need to finish some add and ends in the basement, and the theater isn't even close to being finished, but at least I finally moved the pinball machines down there today!

Edit: holy moly, that pic got big! Click on it to see it in native resolution.

That looks great. How do the wall-mounted track lights work for you? Designing my room now and am working through the lighting.

    #1599 10 years ago

Great room fellas! Pinballa....love your art work on the walls. Nicely done. If I was a guessing man, I would say you are a fan of horror pinball and video games!! LOL. These are my favorite posts on Pinside forum, so thanks or sharing pinheads!

    Quoted from aingide:

The intent was to use them as indirect reflected lighting for the day to day, and be able to turn them down to use a spot lights for working on games. But in practice, with them behind the heads like they are, they don't work so great for that.
