Thanks! Heist is awesome, been playing it a ton. Posted some gameplay videos on YouTube and gave some first impressions on the latest podcast if you're interested in a deeper dive.

Just finished getting color displays in the 5 pinball machines in my basement. Baywatch is xl led colordmd, monopoly is lcd colordmd, and super Mario Bros, Star Wars trilogy and T2 are all pin2dmd. Very happy with all 5.
I also have a robocop getting fixed up in the garage, which should make its way to the basement eventually too.

It's a lot of money to drop, by I'm sure all of your games have a little more pep in their step

    They definitely do!
As for money, it wasn't too too bad. I was lucky that my baywatch came with the color dmd already in it. Monopoly's was a bit pricey. Super Mario Bros, SWT and T2 being pin2dmd weren't bad at all. I love all the displays, but when it comes to price, pin2dmd can't be beat.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! I'm not super skilled at pinball, so I tend to buy pins more based on theme than depth lol. But so far we are enjoying the current lineup a lot.

I'm closing on a new house on Friday and will be saying goodbye to my current game room and moving to a house with a much larger basement! I'll definitely miss this basement. I'm only halfway packed!
    [quoted image]

Wellp my games are officially moved into the new house. Any bets on when I'll actually get around to setting them up? I give it three weeks.

You have to set up at least a couple right away for "breaks" when moving in/setting up the rest of the house!

    Hey All,

Well this year has certainly been one for the record books, COVID and all. Anyways, wife and I have finished up the brewery/arcade/???? (surprise) and the basement! By that I mean partially finished the walls properly insulated, and added a slew of new feature points. The two pins are nestled perfectly in their own space.

I'll have more pictures soon. The only remaining elements I need to put up are more housekeeping things, such as some themed area rugs and some heavy room dividing curtains to separate the brewery/storage space from the entertainment space. It will also help with the heat in the winter.

For now, a video demo of the new automatic liquor dispenser and sink I built. Everything is based on 12 volts. The sink has a 5 gallon supply tank and 5 gal grey water tank. Perfect for cleaning glasses.

Wall switches in my game room, custom made with a laser and acrylic sheets and arcade buttons. Every kid who visits the room just HAS to turn off the lights.

Genius! I'm guessing your custom panel just overlays a 3 gang Decora switch?

Yeah, I removed the face trim plate and added this. I had to stack some hollow rectangle frames to get the buttons the right distance to contact the Decora switches. A few layers and it works well.

    Thanks everyone.

The floor is just dayglo “rocket red” fluorescent paint, with a rubber drainage mat over it. So when it is lit with black light it appears the floor is glowing from below.

Moved in a few years ago. Basement was finished with drywall and carpet (very 80's looking, not in a good way, very dungeon like, dark and old) Mold issues necessitated removal of everything down to the studs. I had covered the walls with dark curtains because they were so ugly to look at.

Carpet really wasn’t an option and we didn’t want tile so we thought about vinyl flooring. Picked up 800sq feet of vinyl flooring at Lowe’s for $160 delivered. There was an error on the app which had it listed as .14 per sq foot where the website had it for 1.59 per sq foot. They honored the lower price after spending about 2 hours in the store. The finished product is not perfect by any means, but world’s better than what it looked like previously. Still need to add more decor.

Very similar to the flooring i've got in my tiny house. Maybe mines slightly lighter, but it may be the lighting. looks good, disguises dirt pretty well and is very coastal as i live close to the beach.

That's very clever. It looks really good. I think it would also make for an even cooler ceiling.

Haha thanks. Me too. That's why it is what it is. A collection of all one type of game is a bit boring to me. I LOVE pinball but know that a gameroom needs diversity to be as fun as possible to everyone.

I have 40+ games. I didn't want to clutter up the post with a bunch of pics. If you can't be bothered to click a link, that's cool. Although, THAT seems kind of lazy and uncaring ...but you just scroll on my brother... scroll on.

Just laid the dance floor in the hopes the landlord got all the leaks.

    df24 (resized).jpgdf24 (resized).jpg

Another strip of carpet will go between the pinball area and the social area so i can wheel machines in and out easier. the wooden tables and seats will go on the edges of the dance floor until it's needed in full for a party or somesuch. The scorers desk will get a makeover with a nicer bench.

    Then i'm finished.

    df3 (resized).jpgdf3 (resized).jpg

I'll be able to sit back in the hot tub and perview my domain.

    More progress!
More painting done, and the glass and monitor are working! (Fittingly, the glass is a sheet of wide body playfield glass).
Still need to fill in the ceiling and add more flair...
