    Quoted from hooch333:

I just bought a bunch of reclaimed wood from an old man in NC that takes down old tobacco barns. I wanted to make the bathroom near the pool look like an old sharecropper shack outhouse. The newspapers on the wall are all from WWII. Just found the perfect old Squirt sign from the 50’s. Still waiting on plumbing rough in so I can finish. So there is no bathroom in the arcades, but at least we have an outhouse close by now!

    How's this positioning?
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

    Looks to be better.

    Quoted from Bundy:

    Looks to be better.

I did consider the side mounting distance of the drink caddie/cup holder. On my MMR, there's 3.25" from the cab to the outer edge of the backbox. So exact head-to-head lineup is 6.5" of clearance between side-by-side pins. The mounted cup holder fits in that space, around 6.25" with zero risk of scratching the cab.

It's the pins next to it you have to worry about, although i can see you're set up to NOT slide em. The other drama (slight) i find with having the cups in the side like that is turning new sterns on, or cleaning glass means throwing your right leg over the cup.

    #15605 3 years ago

A guy in Sweden make these.
Super simple, mounts to either side and never breaks since they are made of metal.

It front mounts too. I'll post some pictures later.

    #15607 3 years ago

I understand, mine do to. That's worse though with them sticking out the front. I do think the way you've modified them in the last set to sit closer to the machine is better.

Couldn't tell Definitely a keeper, doubt I will ever sell it. Saved from an old OP's basement, legs had rotted so bad they lost 6". Was in standing water with a two foot pile of clothes on top. I pointed it out and he didn't even realize it was even there. Believe I got it for $125. New legs, shop job and boards sent out. Playing great ever since (Except for a small driver board fire lol)

All these arcades make me wish i could find a Sega Flash Beats for sale anywhere in the world. I know a few pinsiders have one, but i can't find one for sale.

My 1st memory of pinball was from a bowling alley so when I read in the paper a small local bowling alley was closing I went & picked 1 of these hand dryer/blowers.

I thought it may look nice hanging on the wall in the pinball room. Maybe I'll wire up the fan & lights for nostalgia.

One last set of photos from my homebrew drink caddie. I can get the pinskin cover on my MMR without interference from the brackets and cup holder:

    Quoted from cait001:

loving that people are putting pachinko and pachislo machines in to their rooms. Not everyone's cup of tea I get it, but a great and flashy way to use some otherwise dead wall-space most of the time. And especially cool if you can find a theme you love.

Put mine in my egress window. The Pachislo machine I bought only because of the theme. Space Battleship Yamato (aka Star Blazers) was my favorite show as a kid.

Love the Space War machine! Back in the day, my friend and I used to set it for "strong gravity" and then try to get our ships into a stable orbit around the star. We wasted a lot of time and quarters doing that...

We got our first pin just over a year ago with a couple older machines to see if the family would get into it. It sucked us in immediately and I soon went to town to make our basement an "arcade". Room 1 was complete in 2019 but we ran out of space in there and had to add another room in June where we're already out of space again. Now onto the next room... What a fun hobby! The kids and their friends love it. Heck, our adult friends enjoy it too.

Needed to spice up the utility room that you walk through to get to the game room. Here’s the before and current progress photos.
