Quoted from CPanther95:Grandkids, but they are old enough not to worry about the walls. My problem with eggshell is touchups never seem to go well.
Sherman Williams, Valspar, and Behr all make Flat (Matt) that can be scrubbed. Eggshell finish is a more durable finish and doesn't absorb as much light while still hiding imperfections.
New or existing wall seams? Repairs only?
Quoted from CPanther95:Grandkids, but they are old enough not to worry about the walls. My problem with eggshell is touchups never seem to go well. They stick out like a sore thumb. Not sure if sheen level is much harder to keep consistent - or if they even try from brand to brand.
Go with the semi-gloss...easy to clean. The shine won’t be noticeable
The rebirth of the Yooper Pinball Collective, now in a building with an actual heating system.

A shared workshop+arcade, and the base of our central Upper Michigan route and repair operation.
Yes, most of these need work, and we'll be adding a few from the basement that also need work. The Collective skews heavily towards "workshop."

Ok is it fair to ask what the Vanilla Ice shrine connection is? Please don't say your him or I'll have to do a face plant lol.
Quoted from Yelobird:Ok is it fair to ask what the Vanilla Ice shrine connection is? .
You're playing right into his hands!
The lot came up for sale next to me. I am thinking of buying it and building a bowling lane, bar and theater!!!
It may not happen right away but it will happen some day.

The Ice House was created as a tribute to Ice Cube and Vanilla Ice, both hip hop stars from the 90’s I listened to growing up. I didn’t really listen to Ice-T, thus his absence. I have more Ice Cube stuff on the way. The problem with the dolls and such, none were ever made of Ice Cube until this year, Funko finally released him and I’m waiting for it to arrive.
I also have a Sonos speaker in the cabinet below the sink. It constantly loops Ice Ice Baby and It Was A Good Day.
In addition to the Funko I also got this poster of Cube coming.

Interesting nothing wrong with that. So basically a super fan. I can think of worse musical shrines so this one seems normal. Thanks. I’m guessing you enjoyed his home renovation show then.
Added some new games to my other gamerooms... just unboxed a brand new Star Trek LE and Ghostbusters LE both fresh out of the box.
Star Trek is one amazing game!

The bowling lane pics you posted look similar to a project an electrician I know worked on a couple years ago.
Big custom new construction home.
(3) professional/regulation AMF lanes in the basement. Builder told him retail charge for them was a couple hundred thousand.
crazy expensive but very cool !

Those are just some quick search examples. I would probably just do one lane. It will happen before I am dead.
Kids may get no inheritance but will be able to bowl all they want! Lol
In all seriousness I think the lane alone will be between 120 and 150k. The problem is having the proper area to house the lane. That is why I may buy this specific lot.

eggshell. satin...anything besides flat will flash the paint and allow touchups to be seen...
I used to paint my wall satin with little kids, but touchups required entire sections of wall to be repainted and color matching is always harder then...
Go flat, if your touching up anyways later, might as well use a paint that touches up well..
I Swear by Sherwinn Williams Superpaint or Emerald or Pro Classic...not the crap in Home Depot or Lowes or even the cheaper SW stuff at Lowes but the stuff right from the SW store

You may have seen this already, but if not, its an interesting look at exactly how they do it. You can get a good idea of the scale of the space that is required too.

the rug was overstock or wayfair maybe...

Anyone done a Games Room Shed i am doing one soon i am building a house on the property also. Any pictures or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Trying to stick to a 30k budget punkin I am hoping i can get something pretty decent with that. Is the Shed the photos you posted on here? Oh okay just went through your photos. Not sure i have the room for something that big, Looks nice though but i must say you need to add an Elvira house of horrors to that collection oh what a game.
Thanks mate, never played it. Running out of pinball spots, limited myself by drawing lines with carpet. 4 machines up the front for day to day and 20 something down the back for social days.
Only got 6 or 7 spots left so doing some swaps now and then even though i want to keep them all.
Did you mean like a garage shed? Double garage?
Something like this but a bit nicer but the size is about right. I am just not liking the styles i see of typical Aussie Sheds. I will have a double garage on the house but will need that space.
I posted in the comic book thread, but pretty pleased how this turned out. I made a custom frame using J Channel to display my Batman comics from my childhood. Ran leds on the inside of the channel....came out pretty well....

The piece of property I am looking at unfortunately is a little short. My family has another piece of property that is a little larger. Not as good of a location but will continue exploring options.
I am serious that I am going to do this at some point. Will be neat to look back on this thread if I can make it happen.
Quoted from porkcarrot:Maximized space. It's not a lot, but I like it.

I tried to squeeze every square inch possible. In about a month, I'll know if it's too much or not.

I'm with you 100% on the Sherwin Williams paint. And I did settle on flat paint like I generally prefer. However, I screwed up because I gave my painter the Benjamin Moore color I wanted from their Aura brand paint off their website. Selected Matte for Ceiling and Walls, Semi-gloss for trim. Then told him to get the Sherwin Williams equivalent from the SW store. Turns out that BM Matte is not Flat so they added a bit of sheen to it - for the ceiling also . Apparently the Aura is available in Matte, Eggshell, Satin and Semi-Gloss, but BM now has 7 freakin' sheen levels. Flat<Matte<Eggshell<Pearl<Satin<SG<Gloss

I did something similar with my game room. I can fit about 10 pinball machines and than various other types of games. I’m currently eyeing the gym which is right next door to the arcade. I could easily fit 6 more pinball machines and a few other arcades in there. Who needs to stay good looking once you’re married anyways.
The wife/GF isn’t sold on this idea quite yet.
Quoted from Waldo:The wife/GF isn’t sold on this idea quite yet.
Wait, you have both the wife and girlfriend living with you?? How did you pull that off not living in Utah?!?!

They have separate rooms in the house.
She’s technically the wife as we did the whole get married on paper but haven’t done our official ceremony yet. GF just sounds so much better
