Had a few people over last night for a neighborhood party:

VERY nice! I spent 30 years in Colorado. Kids are still there. May end up back there, who knows.

I paid $500 for it 10 years ago on CL, I recommend you buy one with a nice variety of CD's already preloaded..it's a big PITA to load and set them up.

Got a great condition Hook recently, added an air hockey and pretty much moved everything around since the last picture update. Weight room had to move to the storage area. Still room for one more pin in the main area!

I have the same model jukebox, but with different glass. It's not all that difficult to change the discs; just need to practice a bit doing it. I always change out a few during the holidays. It's also nice to be able to customize it to your own musical tastes (I think I might be the only person who has a juke with Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Les Paul, and Chet Baker in it!). I also have a program that can make the selection cards for any disc.

I've had mine for about 20 years, so I paid a bit more than PinBiz did, but not by much. I've seen others for sale; they're out there. You just have to dig a bit.

That's true...but it is really great to have seating areas for chit chat - especially in a cool area like that. My 2 cents.

New to the forum, here’s my current set up. At least until the games I bought from the last Captain’s auction show up [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Wow...I love the high ceilings and the Polly Fuel pump. Is your gaming area a part of your home or a separate building? Nicely done.

Yes but we really like that area, my girls play board games with me a lot and we have snacks or a pizza night and watch a movie there in the summer a lot. The area where the shuffleboard is the future expansion area for pins if I ever get more than 5. No hurry right now, they are expensive and there are a lot of locations with A titles 30 minutes or less from me. I figure I have room for 8 while still keeping the stuff I have except for the shuffleboard which gets the least amount of play right now. Thanks for checking out my game room!
I have gotten lots of great ideas and inspiration from looking at the photos in this thread, keep up the great work everyone!

Thanks! I got it when we got our first pinball Comet 2 years ago and have had fun changing it up as the game room evolves. Funny thing about it, at the bottom it says 25cents a game although everything is set on free play. After one of my girls birthday parties I found a quarter in the cabinet of one of the games, someone took it seriously! Never did find out who it was.

I like this one, it reminds me of my own room. Gives that feel of "I ain't got much, but I know how to use every inch of it"

Made a few changes to the game room. Added a pop-a-shot and one of the last Putt! Mini golf games available. Really like both additions.

Amazing collection. Love the driving setup, I assume that's a MAME driving set?
The Putt, The Lanemaster, Super Chexx, all great choices. At first I thought your poker table was air hockey!
And then of course the pins!

You should post about your Putt machine in the Golf Simulator Club https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/golf-simulator-club
I'm curious as to what the gameplay is like.

I'm curious as to what the gameplay is like.

The driving set up is as follows:

    1. Obutto cockpit
    2. Buttkicker haptic feedback
    3. G29 steering wheel and pedals
    4. Hooked up to a PS3 / PS4 (I mostly run Gran Turismo) - sometimes I also hook up the Playstation VR for the full experience.

I have tried to add more diversity of games into the gameroom lately and the new games seem to be a big hit with family and friends.

I didn't know about the golf simulator club thread - I will check it out for sure!

    Quoted from jorge5240:

How do you like the bowling game?

I really like it. Bowling was a big part of my childhood. When I started to collect games for my basement / gameroom, I always wanted a bowling game. I got a chance to play a big ball bowler at a friends and loved it. But there was no way I could fit one into my house. The shuffle bowlers didn't appeal to me. So I thought I was SOL. But then I saw the Lane Master online. I found one at a local arcade and instantly wanted one. But the double lane version wouldn't fit through my door. About 6 months later, I saw that they made a single lane version. Ordered one through our Canadian distributor (Player One out of Toronto who have always been really good to me - I highly recommend you get a hold of Adam if you are interested in anything they sell. He is awesome to deal with).

The play on the game is fun. It is as close as I will get to having a bowling alley in my house. It does a good job of sensing your shot (angle and speed). It automatically adds a spin to your first ball (to simulate real 10 pin bowling), but not for your second ball (so you can have a better chance of picking up your spare). Touch spares are rare but possible.

What I really like is that the game is that you can customize it. You can pick how many frames you want in a game (up to regulation 10), and if you want to add the really fun Mega Bonus Golden Pin Stage (i.e. if you get a strike, you get the extra stage where you try to knock down a set of golden 100 pins). So you can set up the game to be a fun arcade experience, or set it up like a regulation lane. Up to 6 players in a game. And it keeps track of high scores for every different way you set up the game.

It is a mini golf simulator. You putt the ball into the cabinet and the game senses the speed and angle of the ball. It then simulates the rest of your shot on the screen. The game come with three 9 hole courses that are very fun and different. Some traditional golf holes, some with obsticles, some with hidden paths to shoot for. Holes range from 20-60 feet long.

And the sensor technology works really well (sensing direction and how hard you shoot). 5 different skill levels to make it easier for kids or harder (with no help for pros). Keeps track of high scores for all courses. And you can play up to 4 players per game. Great for parties.

Not a lot of videos out there on this game (it was made by Chicago Gaming but is now discontinued) and they are really hard to come by.

My first impressions are that it is awesome. I love it.

My gameroom isn't as impressive but I'm only beginning to re-populate it after a 10-year post divorce hiatus...

Turns out my GF loves pins at least as much as I do if not more.. Found the right one! Here's quote from last week "NOTHING leaves. More is better".

Using one of the 4 bedrooms for a game room. 1 is for my gaming computer/VR room. 1 is a guest room and the other is mine of course lol.

MMrRE on order will be added shortly(there's room for 4 on that wall). Also just managed to get my hands on a Dr Who once we figure out transport. The mini-fridge will go under the TV and pin #5 will go where the fridge is now. After that I have to use the home theater room as an overflow lol.

Wall art will start going up soon. Have a few BGs and translites to go up but need to get/make lit frames.

What did you use to hold the lego figure/brick up in the shadow boxes?

    #14731 4 years ago

there is a 2 x 8 black lego brick glued to the backer board in the frame.....the center row stick out the long way to accommodate any figures with tails...the rest are sideways to hold each figures accessories.......i currently have enough figures to fill a 4th frame

Looks pretty awesome, but I could see that being a NIGHTMARE for actual location play (unless it was explicitly made for home/controlled usage)…and hence the discontinuation.

People walking off with the balls, people smashing the cabinet with club, etc. Obviously every case is different, but my buddy stopped operating coin-op pool tables on his routes for this reason (people stealing the balls/cue sticks, people spilling drinks all over them, carving into the cabinet, etc...obviously this doesn't apply to your home game room, or at least I hope it doesn't, haha!

My home is under construction, but here is the location of my future “mini arcade”. 4 pins on the wall pictured and blinds will stay closed and down. Some decor on both side walls, and a Pac-Man or similar arcade on wall directly to right when walking in!

You're gonna need a bigger room so might as well expand now while it's under construction, you'll thank me later.

I have a second room I can use as overflow if needed, already used all my monies getting this 1955 home updated to 2020 throughout. Gutted kitchen and bathrooms, removed a wall to open it up. New paint, fixtures, ect. It’s as nice a first home as I could hope for.

Lol, my plans next are to move 911 out and bring another one in, depending on what is brought in will determine if Bad Cats gets the boot or if that game gets the boot. Ideally I’d like to have Whirlwind or Funhouse brought in.

Small but cozy. Only have room for three pins in the main room and have three in my kids playroom across the hall for the moment. Plans are in the works to convert the playroom into the theater room and dedicating all of the main room to pinball

    Made a few changes to the game room. Added a pop-a-shot and one of the last Putt! Mini golf games available. Really like both additions.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Do the blankets help the machines make it through the cold winter nights?

    #14748 4 years ago

Can’t find a nice cover that I like. One company had some but no longer in business.

    Don’t like the Stern’s.

Any advice on a well made cover for top and bottom ??

    Thanks

Really nice. How do you have those classic consoles connected?

Don't really have cold winter nights in my neighborhood. But covers help limit dust. Dust negates the benefit of invisi-glass.
