NICE! someone should start an aquarium pinside thread. I would be like a kid in a candy store. Love automated stuff like this. I have alexa routines for feeding the fish that shut down the pumps for 20 mins, etc.

Aquarium theme pinball machine, with a real aquarium under glass.

Added JP pro to the lineup this week.
    Loving this machine.
The tables on the raised floor are for poker night every other Friday and the second room in the raised area is the cigar lounge.
Good times for the mixed groups we have over.

Love the mcintosh gear. What are the speakers?

I have a pair of Pioneer HPM-100's with the McIntosh gear. It sounds awesome and really cranks! I have a remastered CD of Born To Run that sounds amazing.

I'm sorry, but is that a TOP GUN pinball machine hidden in the darkness?

    #14670 4 years ago
    Quoted from cait001:

I'm sorry, but is that a TOP GUN pinball machine hidden in the darkness?

It would be cool if it was a never released prototype Top Gun,
    But
It’s just a Gold Wings with an alternate trans light.

Swapping the trans light out made the game so much more enjoyable (for me), the original was just to ugly to keep.

It’s down with some board issue right now. Haven’t had time to look.

Wow I always wanted to somehow have multiple levels in my game space but I've never had a suitable place to do it. Love it man.

What sort of room is that to begin with? Typically I only see that sort of layout in the front of houses... livingroom etc with loft area above.

    #14676 4 years ago

Damn I wish I had room for a bowler one of my favorite games besides pinball to play.

    Thank you kindly!

Final fantasy, dragon quest, fire emblem, and castlevania get their own shelves respectively. Also my friend is a graphic designer, so i made the snes carts and we double teamed making boxes for them.

    Quoted from lastlight:

What sort of room is that to begin with? Typically I only see that sort of layout in the front of houses... livingroom etc with loft area above.

My house is built onto the side of a 48’x72’ two story shop building.
One one far side of the 48’x72’ is my house (24’x48’ two story) on the other far side of the building is my game room on Just the second floor (24x30 upper floor & 24x18 on the mid level floor with the pins).
I built the floors at two different heights because of what I was needing for clearance height in the shop originally. Worked out to make a nice split level for the game room.

The whole game room thing actually started when I was 26 as myself and two buds were drinking (too much) i told them I was thinking of making those second floors into a guest room kinda thing, when my buds were like “hell no, you need a game room”. That night, drunk and stupid we started framing and running wires

Latest pics of our game room before a party. Still lots of remodeling work ahead. Pinball room is done redecorating, exterior paneled walls will be drywall, interior paneled walls will be moved to make larger spaces and drywalled. Can't wait … and it's filling up. Years to go … it'll get there eventually.

    AWESOME Lair!!

    #14692 4 years ago
    Quoted from heni1977:

kingbw I am glad to see you still have F-14!

Yes we do. I haven't sold any pins yet. But F14 will be the first to go once I get 2 more pins. Only about 30 plays in the last 5 years. However, my wife has sentimental feelings for it as it was our first pin nearly 30 years ago. Might have to keep expanding pin real estate in the basement. My niece in-law is claiming first dibs if/when we sell as she grew up playing it at our house since she was about 5 years old, so she has some sentimental attachments to it also. She has a young one and 3 pins herself now in Florida. Her husband likes pinball too. So, it might have a future home.

F14 is a fun pin but all of the muggles that come to our parties like the newer pins better.

For the low-tech people who think a "laser" is something you put on the head of a shark, there's always the plywood and scroll saw method...
