    fantastic TNG topper.....

I was given the Picard Pop by my daughter for my birthday. So after I bought my STTNG, it seemed like a good way to use it and fill out the cast. Just wish they made a Dr Crusher Pop.

Wanted to add roku is amazing. Conventional TV companies such as direct TV and Comcast will be the way of the dinosaur in a couple years.

Not while directv has nfl locked-up.

I had my ddr powder coated. I have a spot in the house where I am going to put it but for now it is in the garage area. Going to put it with the groove coaster. I do love me some DDR!

And going add two more racers in the garage area once we move it!

That money thing gets in the way sometimes! Lol

Is that a Pachinko machine in that cabinet on the wall? Did you build that?

    #14464 4 years ago

It is a Pachinko but I did not build the cabinet, pinsider bbriese built that and I purchased it from him a year or two ago.

So question for you guys that have your machines facing each other. How much room do you have between them? Enough to slide the glass off? Can 2 people play back to back? Or are you just cramming them in there? I’m getting to the point where I’m going to have to do something similar. I’m also hoping to eventually finish my basement and want to get some layout ideas. I have a pretty wide open space currently.

I had a setup for a while where I could just barely pull the glass off. It worked for the most part but was a bit over cozy for two players back to back. If your space can handle it I’d recommend an extra 12” - 24” depending on the average size of guests. More if you want people to be able to pass through while two people play.

Re organized the lineup after moving out some titles. Got them spaced properly but still need to go back and level them in their new spots. And i’m reminded i still need to look into that GI issue in AFM’s backbox...

Gonna work on finishing this space in 2020. So more of a lineup than a game room at this point. But i love the height i have down there. Shall not be thwarted by any topper

I’m just making the most of the small area I have. I have just enough room to remove the glass. It’s a bit cramped but it’s the difference between getting 15 or 9 into the same area.
For the amount of times there’s more than 2 or 3 people in there it works fine like this.

Just in terms of space, 14 ft wide room allows for games to be across from each other comfortably, with room for taking the glass off. 12 ft room gets a lot more difficult taking glass off and there will most likely be butt rubbing and calf kicking.

In my old game room I had about 13' and was able to pull the glass by standing to the side. There was 42" between the machines once games were placed in the room. You could also play 2 games opposing each other simultaneously ... just watch your butt!

Are you also able to get a machine out without moving the rest of them?

    #14473 4 years ago
    Quoted from okgrak:

When you have room to slide of the glass, you have room to "skate" them out of the row

    Quoted from Thor-NL:

Is that true? The overall machine is longer and wider than the glass.

If have mine on a pretty tight attic, I put the machine on pinball-skates and wiggle them out, you must look at the width of the body because when slid out a bit the backbox is no issue.

My room is more of a general media room than a game room, but since there is a pin (my first!) I figured I might as well share. The games are a big hit with all of our guests, with the basketball probably getting the most use, followed by the bubble hockey. It is funny (and kinda sad) watching teenagers get attracted by the lights and sounds of Ghostbusters and having absolutely no idea how to even start a game. They just stand there in complete bewilderment!

Ah, a Space Duel! I put many a quarter in that game back in the 80's. I actually bought one a while back (along with Frontline) but sold both of my stand ups to make some room for more pins.

I'd been wanting to light up a wallhanger playfield for awhile and didn't want to pay top $ to do it. I figured I could get mini Christmas lights dirt cheap on sale now, but was too late and they were all gone. Go home, pull up Amazon, I got these for 8 bucks (for two sets). USB cords included. The whole thing can actually be put underwater (Though obviously not a use I need) and the battery pack is well made. The wore is firm and easily bends and holds it shape, I Just used a litle bit of tape and 10 min and its good to go. The lights are small enough to sit recessed so not to allow a bunch of light spillage. (I already had black paper over the holes in the playfield from when I previously had it hanging in a window.) It's got serval disco modes... er "attract modes" and even has the standard cheesy remote controls. I think this was one of my better "dirt cheap" pinball purchaces in awhile. The box says "For romance and love", now I wouldn't go so far as to say that.. but lightin' up a pair of wall hangers for under 10 bucks was cheaper than I expected and it turned out better than hoped for also. Win-Win!

That looks great I might redo mine with that. I used standard Christmas lights with controls but yours looks neater and offers more options too.

    Great artwork, and creative!
    Well done!

I just give him a theme and let him loose. he likes working for me because of that i think. The doorway was the only thing where i was specific about what i wanted. I'm getting him to do the artwork for the decals for my Transit van too. That's gunna be fantastic.

An eight point jackrabbit was added to the game room as well as Target Alpha.
I got TA in November all the steppers were seized, once they were fixed the game plays flawlessly.
