    Quoted from Rico_Roughneck:

How tall is your game room floor to ceiling? I have a 9’ pour in my basement. I thought about getting a basketball game but most were too tall or kids size. I think the one you have had the removable top cage to accommodate smaller ceilings.

I have like 106 inches. We had to cut the topper to get it to fit so with 108 u should be golden.

The basketball is good for adults. The hoop moves back and forth. I would loved a larger one but was limited. This was good compromise. It gets a lot of use probably second to the dart game for adults when we have our parties.

Extended Family Christmas gathering - Pins got a lot of action with the younger crowd!

I have moved 5 times in 15 years and the game room has gotten smaller each time. The new house has a walkout basement with a 6 ft wide overhead door and 9 ft ceilings, so it lends itself better to big games.

The F355s are linked together and take the space of 7 pins, so I figure they are saving me about $40k in price difference of filling that wall with pins instead of the drivers. The 355s are definitely the hit when people are over. Super Chexx is next along with Atari Football in the living room next door. Believe it or not, the pins get the least amount of play with young and old. I play them a lot, but not many others. I am saving room for an Atari Red Baron and two more pins. Have a BM66 coming, but it is going to Florida as I only have room for two pins there. I am enjoying the video games as well as pins and really enjoy working on all of them.

Great pics ,especially the big Pac Man neon one!

    #14406 4 years ago

Hell, at my house, I can barely get people to play anything. Most women (friends of my wife that come over my house) rather gab than play games! At least my 78 year old mother is fun. She likes smashing the Vengeance on my Star Trek Pro!
Now that I think about it, she's more fun than all these younger women I know!

Ooooo, a Sea Wolf! I loved that game as a kid! I'd really like to get my hands on one of those...

Is that a Cushman Scooter in your second picture?

Yes. 1948. I had it restored to new condition about 5 years ago for my father. He always wanted one as a kid and couldn't afford it. He found this one 30 years ago and it sat in my hangar for the next 25 years. I finally took it out of the hangar and had a local Cushman expert do the restore. Sadly, my father passed away about 18 months ago and it now resides in my basement.

So the deal is, I received McGruff as a gift from my parents many years ago. They thought it looked like my dog at the time. If you look real close there is a note on McGruff that says don’t mess with Jorge, which was my dogs name. Jorge has since passed on but still lives on in my avatar and user name. My real name is Mike.

Do you have any other games besides pinball?
My wife plays everything, her favorite is darts and DDR though.

I had our female friends crushing the Jurassic Park and Battle pod. Bubble hockey too!

I have a couple that play pins but mostly play the arcades because they are simpler.

I have a lot of parties with a casual crowd so I try to have something for everyone. I always tease, if you come to the game house and can’t find something to do you have a problem!

Definitely awesome! I have a son(now 19) and a daughter(now 13), and growing up my son was scared of everything. On the flip side, my daughter has been fearless. She started driving ATV's (real ones) at the age of 3. Started dirt track go-kart racing at the age of 5. When she was 7 I took her for a ride on my Yamaha V-Star and she wanted to go 100mph, which we did, and she loved it and wanted more. Now that she is 13, and I have waited my entire life for this moment, we will be playing together in the regional paintball (speedball) series in 2020. I've been playing competitive paintball since 1988 (I was 14), and still play in tournaments to this day and getting the chance to play with her is going to be awesome and I can't wait.

    SORRY for the slight derail!

Now that I have acquired a second Pin Ill finally post here. Have had the mame arcade ~4 years but got into pinball about 2 years ago. Bought Deadpool in January and now Im hooked. Built the virtual cab over the summer and just added SW Comic Premium this week(god its hard). I have another room perfect for a bunch of pins not shown. Just need my daughters to grow a bit more so they no longer need a "gymnastics area". Hoping to have 5-6 pins when all is said and done(preferably while still being married).

Funny story kid fell of a bed in Hawaii. Told us he was fine so he could play more. Played, did karate the next week. Finally my wife said he will not put weight on it. Took him to doctor a week later and it was broken in two places.

    Way tougher than me.

Astro carpet mill. Mine are all bound area rugs. Pretty inexpensive and commercial grade. I have three different patterns throughout the house.

Had a hell of a party tonight. Nothing better than all the kids running around going crazy. The photo booth took a dump at 11:45 but I was able to fix it before midnight. My wife asked why I do that shit but the joy it brings all my friends is well worth it.

I am sure that is why many of u are in this hobby.

    Have happy new year!!!!

Really nice. I presume thoose lights are dimmable?

Would probably try to conceil that electric box, but otherwise as said really nice.
    *thumbs up*

    #14443 4 years ago

Yes I have four zones with the lights all are dimmable. I left the electrical box and surface mounted electrical to the concrete but painted the concrete white.

I made this room to be more industrial/lounge like vs. a normal room! Painting the box to match is one of the things left to do. I didn’t want to make yet another closest.

Added a second sub to my set up yesterday. It is in the garage. Had to run wire under the house to get it in there which was not awesome but worth it. I was having issues where all my jelly domes would not work because the cable run was too long. The domes operate off of low frequency with one master and slaves. With the new sub I was able to segment them so all domes are going. I am probably go to add one more today upstairs which has been sitting around. Which will give me a total of nine in the house. Nice thing is I have already ran the wire just need to mount it.

My main marker is a FEP Quest. My backup is an Empire Mini. The kids use a mixture of Minis and Proto Rize’s. The tournament series kicks off April 18th for us, so excited.

I usually try to run a tournament each year, but since only I’m the only one who really cares enough about pinball to be competitive, this year’s focus was just to have fun.
