Forgot to give it a thumbs up
Quoted from bowtech:Alright game room guru's I need your help. Just had my black light carpet installed and I added some black light strip lights and some bulbs to my ceiling fan but it doesn't seem bright enough. The strip lights are ok but the fan lights are about worthless. Need some ideas so I can make this carpet glow! The picture actually makes it look better than it does in person.
Are you using LEDs? A lot of "blacklight" LEDs on the market aren't putting out quite the right wavelength for the UV reactive pigments. You might need to spend on the really good LEDs (warning, they are pricey, and may have a limited lifespan), or go fluorescent tube blacklight.

The floor lights are leds and seem to work ok. Just trying to get some light from above. It's a 4 season room so there are a lot of windows and only the fan has a light fixture. I've seen these led blacklight light bars but not sure how they will look.

Mount those under your pins
Yup. Put the blacklights under the pins. The closer they are to the ground, the more light they throw.
Quoted from cait001:Is there a golf-sim club on this board? If not you should probably start a thread.
I second someone starting a golf-sim board. I’ve been researching them for about a year. Prices are all over the place. Looking for affordable and accurate. My daughter just started golfing and this would be great in the garage during cold months ahead.

Similar to what I did with my pub table...

I only use 4’ fluorescent tube blacklight bulbs. IMHO the led strips and black incandescent bulbs suck. The cfl black lights work well but just don’t get bright enough for a large space. You could also get 18” fluorescent tubes for under your games once they’re in place
Quoted from Murphelman:It's a small slapce but made the best of it.[quoted image][quoted image]
I'd kill for a small space like that...Nice job!
Hey gang SPD is going to offer customized novelty street signs in time for Christmas this year perfect for your game room, man cave, garage etc. Each sign is 6" high and 30" wide, green reflective background and white reflective lettering just like typical street signs. They will be made from .125 thick AL for durability, not .063 that I've seen most others offered at.
Each sign will be single sided as standard but can be double sided upon request. Custom colors may be available upon request but availability will be reduced as I do not currently plan to stock colors other than green and white.
This is a jpg representation and I'll upload more images once I produce the first one, hopefully next week.
These will be added to my Pinside store soon.
PM for details.
Sign can currently have 18 characters without any reduction of font size.
Also, if you're going to use LED black lights, the best are 365nm UV wave length. These cost more but are designed to light up UV ultraviolet objects without casting much purple visible light. Here are some 365nm UV LED bulbs..

Ran out of wall space
Recent basement renovation by me and my girlfriend with just enough room for the last two pins I'm restoring. Arcade has multicade board. My three original game systems fron when I was younger. Full karaoke setup with plenty of beer to make it fun. Table tennis and darts available in the garage.

Took 'em long enough to get to the important stuff:
Aahhh... the supply closet
Quoted from ChrisPINk25:Finally mostly settled into new house.[quoted image][quoted image]

Quoted from bowtech:Update, found some bar lights on Amazon cheap and now it makes the carpet come alive. Thanks to all you pinsiders for help and suggestions.[quoted image]

Funny thing is, of everything in that game room the water heater gets the most play.
Quoted from yzfguy:LOL, love the "ping pong table"!
Reminds me of my pool table before I sold it haha

Yup you just needed more bl. I love my "Under the Sea" bl carpet.
Quoted from MustangPaul:I love my "Under the Sea" black light carpet.
Which would be fine, if Paul didn't insist on playing Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid soundtrack over and over in his game room.
I like seeing a row of pins but how about some pics of the room surrounding it? Cool memrobila, cigar store indian, kickass bar, etc? Just saying

Not everyone cares about a fancy game room.
