    Quoted from Namsan:

My turn ! Ok here my 2 small game room.
One is dedicated to pinball and the second to arcade machines.
    - Pinball room video tour (poor quality)

    - Arcade room video tour (poor quality)

Been awhile since I posted. Expanded the basement and the collection. I’ve added photos and a YouTube video tour for those who are interested. Enjoy!

Any info on that video jukebox? I have about 1000 videos for parties but its just on random. Being able to select stuff is cool. Also are all your videos local or is it part of a streaming service?

The software I use is Jukebox Jockey.

    http://www.jukeboxjockey.com/

All my videos are local. I think Jukebox Jockey now has a new version that allows streaming from a server. Don’t quote me though.

I’ve tested numerous video softwares and I feel like this is the easiest for guests to use. Most of the time they don’t need guidance from me.

As for the PC, it’s just an 18” tablet touch PC running Windows. HDMI out to the TV. Audio out into my speaker system.

    #14007 4 years ago

Thanks for the info. Do you own the software or are you paying 250 a year for it? Right now in the US you can only subscribe to it and not buy it outright.

Good call with the deodorant and toothbrush basket for less hygienic pinhead guests.

So I bought Version 3 in late 2017 or early 18 for around $40. I just checked their site and it doesn't look like you can buy the old standard install. Not sure why? Makes no sense. I think he is losing business opportunities now. So no, I'm not paying $250 a year, I bought the 1 time license.

Some other software options I have had people recommend but I haven't quite tested yet are E Touch Jukebox and Juke Blaster.

    Juke Blaster - https://jukeblaster.com/

When we host pinball tournaments, the pool table gets covered to hold all of the trophies and awards. Other than that, we actually use the pool table and we shoot in a pool league. So it's not a conversation piece at our house

Poster was ordered online through Walmart. I ordered a 20x30 matte photo paper print, cost me $22 total. Attached is the photo I used.

Not sure if anyone cares, but there are places that print on acoustically transparent fabric. You can build a frame, put damping material behind it and then cover it with the fabric. It will help with acoustically treating rooms with sound issues.

I have messed with E-touch recently and its a bit glitchy to get working. Right now for me it locks up while trying to load the default skin so Im going to play with blaster next.

    EDIT:
I have messed with video box and it works great. Can be set for 2 monitors so that one plays the video (external TVs around the room) and the other the jukebox interface is on. A bit of tweaking an figuring a few things out and its doing most everything I want it to on my laptop. I have it set to play random videos when nothing is in the queue. It can do MP3 as well but havent messed with that. There are other things it can do too at idle. And can have adds and stuff. Lotta options.

Before I just used to have random music videos but now I have the same with the option for guest to pick them. Only down side is that my old method had a built in volume expander/compressor so that quieter videos were the same volume as the loud ones. It worked great and was unnoticeable. Now I will have to figure out how to do that again. If I can figure that out it will be perfect.

Thanks again for all the info.

I love seeing the little guys and girls having fun with the machines . Seeing the reactions from them when they get a response from the machine is awesome.

The picture is of me and my little guy when I bought my first machine. He was almost 2 and as you can see he was loving it.

He’s now 5 and asks me often to go tot be basement and play.

    Quoted from gutz:

I'm going to guess its replacing a missing launcher handle!

The launcher handle was present and all intact.

The story that I received from the guy I bought it from was that while it was on route in a pizza parlor it somehow developed a hole in the cabinet and the operator just decided to fill it with a button.

So the button did nothing but hide the hole.

A couple years after this picture was taken I sold it to help fun TWD Pro. I thought I had my fill with that game but I know regret selling it as that game is really fun.

I think I bought it for $2200 and ending up selling for $2900 and the entire time while owning it I replaced a diode and changed the playfield hinges because the previous owner bent them to hell. Solid paying game.

I should have kept it and did my own refurb on it

Picked up my 4th Namco Tribute arcade...Class of ‘81 - Ms Pac Man/Galaga. I now have the first four titles that have been released. These have the CRTs. All Namco Tributes since use LED screens.

I currently have a 60-1 board in the Space Invaders cab. It also has the factory 4-way joystick. This creates some playing challenges on games with 8-way directions, such as Zaxxon, Gunsmoke, and Scramble.

The game plan is to install a 60-1 board in the class of ‘81 and install an 8-way joystick in it. This will all the diagonal games to be played correctly. So, between the SI and the Co81, players can enjoy every game included on the 60-1 boards.

(The pins are close by, waiting for setup!)

Had some people over for a little Halloween party last weekend. First time we’ve had people over in a few years.

What is that mini galaga? Do you play on your knees?

That’s an arcade 1up. A small stool works perfect to sit and play.
