Nice Nova picture. My father had the exact same drag car.

The night before high school graduation, my sons friends and baseball teammates chose to stay over in the gameroom. I think pinball has a chance with this generation.

    Quoted from Nokoro:

It's been a while since I posted pictures of my game room, and I think the last time I did, it wasn't fully decorated. I still need some more stuff for the walls, but this is pretty good for now.

Do you know how much your bar top extends over the bar? Did you have to brace it underneath?

    #13304 4 years ago
    Quoted from Buzz:

Very proud of my dad's drag racing memorial wall.

    Quoted from Backyardace:

Nice Nova picture. My father had the exact same drag car.

The exact same car? Then the two dads must have raced for the pink slip. So whose dad won the race and had the car last?

Same year Nova. My fathers was called Middle Aged Crazy. Then he got a 55 Chevy with a big block and finally a dragster.

    Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

It extends 8 inches. We do have corbels under it, but they are flat metal bars that you can't see unless you bend down and look under. We wanted a clean look to it.

    #13307 4 years ago

That framed picture is from the last race at Lions. Amongst the wall is his world record and public apology from national dragster and his many cars. How cool that your dad raced too.

After over a 3 month wait the Battle Pod should be arriving this weekend if all goes well.

I will post some pics of the new game area after it's arrival. The garage expansion really turned out great and guests are loving it even without the Pod!

    #13309 4 years ago

Man I wish you weren't 428 miles away I would love to see it all with my own eyes. What a dream of mine to have a whole house dedicated to fun. It's been very cool to watch develop over the years. By chance have you done a video walk through I missed with the new lighting and stuff?

I need to do a walk through. I will in the next couple weeks. I want everything to be perfect and as you guys know there usually is always something to improve and work on so I never feel like it is done. But I am very happy with how the garage turned out.

Going to have a party with over 30 people this weekend so it should be fun. Crossing fingers that the BP shows up.

My daughter thought that about me and my growing game room also … until I showed her some pics in this thread. By the way … you all are a "bad influence" on me according to her. Yet she gives me some of her "Architectural advice" that I think is great. She's "seeing the vision".

When my daughter was in high school and we were together in the game room, I told her that one day all of these pinball machines will be hers and she said, "And they will be the first thing I sell." I think my daughter has a different vision.

Just finishing up building a room off the back of my house. The room is around 17'x20' I just built it right on top of my patio slab that was already there. (I did put a footing under the two side walls) I can put 8 Machines along the back wall and could make room for 2 more if I put them back to back in the middle. Now I can give my wife back one of our bedrooms I was using.

Hmm that is interesting. I have a similar-looking arrangement in the back, with a similar size concrete patio that currently has a decent-sized but old wood patio cover. I was thinking about building one of those enclosed patio rooms there, which is basically an aluminum and glass arrangement I suppose. But I see you went all-in with a complete structural addition to the house. I never thought of going that route, might have to think about that.

    Wrong? Nonsense.
The redeeming factor: pins do not depreciate. You get tired of 'em you will get back what you paid.
Wrong? The only thing possibly wrong with establishing a nice line-up like that is "Can a grown man be entitled to THIS much fun?"

I am starting to think this battle pod is cursed.
    1. First there was a cracked plastic they had to get parts.
    2. The dongle was missing for the game that added the bonus level. This took 6 weeks to special order from japan.
    3. Finally game is ready and delivery truck breaks down.

I just don’t know what to say.

My game room is a work in progress. Don't ask about the buckets. The rug really ties the room together.
