My friend, John, showed me how to do this with smart plugs and Alexa. I think it is really cool.

Met you at the showdown, love your LZ. We are in the same city, let's just say if you ever had a event at your place, I wouldnt decline an invitation.

You're having the game of your life.
You're kicking your buddy's ass.
You're buddy says... "Alexa game off"

Actually, I thought about this. If I’m with others or have a party, I’ll turn off the echo dot.
Quoted from JeffZee:You're having the game of your life.

NOT funny.
Not during the "game of your life" anyway.
Your buddy is a sourpuss.
Quoted from rollitover:Your buddy is a sourpuss.
You mean x-buddy after the game of your life!!!
Quoted from drummermike:Very nice room! Lots of room for more. Looks like an Olhausen table.
Yep, it’s an Olhausen. Been in the family for over 20 years. I refinished it because the brown stained oak and tan cloth didn’t fit in the decor.
Quoted from drummermike:Looks great. Mine is natural hard rock maple.
Nice! I bet that looks sharp

Matches my Ludwig drum set. OCD. Check my profile page gameroom pics.

Very nice. Is that a 9 footer?
Quoted from JayDee:Very nice. Is that a 9 footer?
Yes. Lots of room for long sticks. No height though for pinball toppers.
Awesome thread. I’ve been lurking for a while and stealing some ideas for a while for our basement remodel. It’s been done for a bit but we finally wheeled in LOTR a couple weeks ago to complete the project. I’m very happy to spend every free minute down here.

Looks great! Love the floor. I put something that looks just like that in another part of the house. Always get lots of compliments on it. People are always surprised when they find out it’s not wood.

Yeah it’s amazing how good the fake stuff looks nowadays. I mean what do you mean fake? That’s the real deal!
Quoted from Chisox:Yeah it’s amazing how good the fake stuff looks nowadays. I mean what do you mean fake? That’s the real deal!
Ha! But seriously you’d have to be crazy to put wood down in a basement. With the way the vinyl looks and feels nowadays, it’s a no brainer. I put it throughout half of my first floor because I have a 18 yr old “puppy” (she’ll always be my puppy) that has lots of accidents unfortunately and it just cleans right up like nothing happened.
A little progress in the back room. I haven’t had much time lately, and the surprise winter thaw created other projects... but I’ve got the walls and ceiling patched up and hopefully I’ll get primer on tomorrow. It’s s lowly coming together... maybe paint by the weekend?
57D002AB-E76E-42AD-A3AD-1DE9355221D6 (resized).jpegI may be wrong, but flipping the breaker only disconnects the common wire (black). On a lightning strike, couldn’t the neutral be positively charged and, thereby, fry anything plugged in, even on an “off” breaker?

I always unplug from the wall during lightning.
Well, I don't have quite the house as many on here, but the wife was all for turning our front room / formal living room into a game room and bar when we bought our house. Way better than a stuffy room that is only used once a year at Christmas. We entertain a lot so this room tends to be very popular. Our family room is off the kitchen and that is where we watch television anyway, so this room was perfect.
When the oldest moves out and gets a place big enough, that baby grand is going with her and that will be room for at least 2 more pins!! lol

And cut me some slack on the Zima sign... My wife loves that stuff and loves that sign.
Quoted from jeep-mustang:Good looking room Calfdemon, I’m digging the 3 classic 40x slots.
Thanks, there are now 4 in that line and I moved the IGT to another wall. I added Winning Streak where the IGT sits in that picture. I have 2 more 40X slots in the garage that I have no idea where they are going to go. 1 is almost done and 1 is in parts, but will be done in due time. Its a sickness.. lol
Just out of curiosity, don't the slots get boring if you aren't winning any money? Unless some people actually use them to take their friends money.
They are not something I play a lot of. I get more enjoyment collecting the game kits and building the machines. But my in laws live with us for health reasons and my father in law is a slot junkie and plays them all day long. So it's more for him and friends at parties. We also sometimes do a slot tournament (on the IGT) at parties where I put in 200 credits and the guest gets 1 minute to play. I cash out their ticket after 1 minute and after the tournament, top 3 tickets win prizes. Guests actually love it. As for playing, I have about $500 in quarters between the 40x machines. We just keep the credits built up and everyone plays for free. I dont want my friends money, and I cant afford to pay them if they hit a jackpot... lol
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:Just out of curiosity, don't the slots get boring if you aren't winning any money? Unless some people actually use them to take their friends money.
Hey, the house ALWAYS wins!
I would just tell everyone that whatever coin they put in will be a "contribution" for maintenance and upkeep of all machines.

Nice McIntosh components!
Looks great calfdemon. You have quite a liquor selection. I’m heading over for a drink....or several!
a nice 3-pin collection calfdemon - three great games that represent the late 70s/early 80s, early 90s and current well!
Quoted from ReadyPO:a nice 3-pin collection calfdemon - three great games that represent the late 70s/early 80s, early 90s and current well!
Thanks.. Changing it up though. Flash is on its way to a new home this weekend and Scared Stiff is on its way from Virginia. So going to be heavy on the 90's pins. Once that piano is gone though, the collection will go to 5 (or 6 if I can squeeze 6 in). But that will be a while as I'm sure her first place will be an apartment with no room for a baby grand...
That's hilarious. I have the same problem. A baby grand piano that my daughter plays, surrounded by pinball machines. I'm itching for the day she takes the piano out of there so I can get some more pins.

Quoted from toastbot:Yeah, but do you like 805 beer?
Yes, the wife and I both do. But we also were married on August 5th
Quoted from mcuzz:Good variety in that game room,
That witch would scare the hell out of me every time tho
Bro...... That's the guy's wife!

Is that a Stampede slot machine that I see??? It’s been on my short list for some time, now.

Here’s a good deal on one, and it’s in TX!

One of the best of the WMS games.
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:Is that a Stampede slot machine that I see??? It’s been on my short list for some time, now.
There is one in Texas right now for $300. Check the classifieds on New Life Games!
Whoops, jeep-mustang beat me to it and included a link to boot! If I was closer, I would have already have grabbed that slot, especially since it is a roundtop!
Quoted from heni1977:calfdemon Love the Godard art. Have a few knock off copies that look really good. And 1 real print. They cost a lot!!! Here is one since a lot of folks don't really know his art!

Wow, that's totally bad ass. I'd jump on that in a heart beat if I wasn't going a different direction with the art in my game room.

Thanks! Yeah, love Godard... there are a bunch of his older pieces I would love to have but they all hold some value and arent cheap... someday I will add a couple more. Love the one you posted as well!

She's waiting for the day you move your pins out so she can get some more pianos.
Quoted from Nikrox2:Getting there! And to think. This all started with one pinball machine! Lol

Ah, yes; that's how it begins for most of us!
Looks great so far; looking forward to the end result.
