You gotta put a 20 inch florescent under each of those games, your carpet will explode with color and your games will look like they are floating on the carpet.
What are you guys using to light up that BL carpet? I am not sure what I wanna go with to make the throw rug pop. I had a couple BL led bulbs laying around i put in to test which were ok but not a good "spread" of light.

I have a few Philips Hue bulbs and with one particular colour setting, they seem to throw out pretty good black light. Won’t be as intense as a real set of fluorescent tube style bulbs, but it will be a little more flexible for you maybe.

That home of Tron sign looks pretty cool above your Tron. Where did you get it from or did you get someone to make it?
Quoted from RWH:I like the stars. I agree they are busy but not overly enough for a game room, you want busy in your arcade area. For me the circles are just to boring, no sense of movement like the star pattern has.
Normally, I would agree if the area was larger. In this case I'd look for something between the stars and circles.

I have an open ceiling painted flat black with 3 light fixtures with these in them plus 4, 15 ft bl led strips and a 20 inch bl florescent under each game and the carpet lights up perfectly even with lit pf's on the ceiling and all games on.

What kinda crazy wacky fixture contraption is that?!
Quoted from yzfguy:What kinda crazy wacky fixture contraption is that?!
hahahahahahaha looks wacky I know but that's exactly the look I was looking for. 2 way screw in adapter screwed into an adapter screwed into an adapter etc. Looks like art hanging from the ceiling. My gr is a bit out of the ordinary so it fits right in. You can see one it the picture.

Now he's just looking at that wondering if he can use it to make an even bigger contraption!
So much neon carpet talk! I love it so much a few months ago a started a tread dedicated to it.

When I was picking out mine I had a heck of a time searching all over this thread and a few others for ideas pics info and prices.
Also I of course vote for stars
I have a 4’ fluorescent fixture with 2 tubes and then 2 side lights with 18” fluorescent tubes. Eventually when I redo the lighting I’m going to add a 2nd fluorescent fixture with two 4’ bulbs.
Side note the fluorescent blacklight tubes are becoming harder to get in Canada. Everything’s moving to leds.
Quoted from yzfguy:Now he's just looking at that wondering if he can use it to make an even bigger contraption!
Not really cuz I can add on to mine whenever I want which makes it look even MORE bizarrrrrr.

Make sure you put a 20 inch on the underside of the game.
Showed the wife the stars and she is on board as well. Asked if we could do the whole floor. I said no ( I know, I know), But the cost is out the door for me. Plus I only have a small space for the arcade 3 pins and a cocktail. I might possibly be able to squeeze a upright arcade in there.
Looking to do this same display / storage idea for my old pinballs, anyone have a machine they would part with? Plenty on Ebay but prefer to give my money to a fellow Pinsider.
Let me know.

That's great, when I bought mine they asked if I wanted home delivery, I said no I'll pick it up at the local trucking company that they delivered to. I saved $125 bucks by doing that and dragged it down the basement myself. Very easy.

Nice. I spy Leg Light-Ups on your games.
Thanks for all the votes, I made my decision, and ended up going with the Blue swirls. I've got a fluorescent runner that would have been lost in the stars. Can't wait to start putting the new room together, and you can bet I'll post photos when It's done!
There's still room for stars in my future too...

Nope, I have interactive colour changing lights that I came up with. You could even use my design for your light up leg mods. It could look cool on the right game.

Don’t know if this thread is for in home game rooms or just pics of “your” game room. Here is one of my games rooms that are on route. If this doesn’t count I won’t post any of my routes and apologies in advance.

Yeah where is that? I go to Indy every couple months or so and I would surely like to go play there!
Quoted from jrockne:Quick poll:
I’m trying to decide between these two carpet tiles for a 13x19’ foot game room. Part of me thinks the stars are too busy for the space... What do you think?

I’d give the kid something that pops to look at from their crib. stars

Wow Bud-looks stellar!
You are really blowing it up, I like how you set them up at a slightly different angle/offset-looks good. I also like your industrial cup holders-very cool!

I also really like those cup holders. A little more classy then a pin gulp.

Great group of games for fortunate customers! Nice
Have to ask - What are those cupbolders? Seems like they would take out kneecaps of players?
Personally I think they would work well, with my ample girth no way I'm that close with my knees.
I would love to see a hook to hang my tote bag though

I built them out of 1/2 inch pipe and solid oak. Surprisingly knees aren’t affected, and the are easy to move under or to the side if desired. Here are some pics, I wanted to do a contrast stain, maybe next time.

Cool man. Thanks for explaining. What an awesome set up you have. Hope you have continued success!

And if you have any left over pipe, you’re on your way to a pin rotisserie - for playfield swaps !
Quoted from Spyderturbo007:Temporary setup until I get carpet in the other room and can move everything over. Carpet goes where you see WoZ and all the games on the side wall move over to that room.
Maybe I'll be done someday.... I still need carpet, granite and some finishing touches.

Easy to spot TWD in your line.
