For those of you that have the space, and have games like PAC Man battle royal, here is one you can add to your collection.

Big year for me, bought my first house, and a bunch of games to help fill the gap in the basement.
Finally at a comfortable spot with my collection, plan to do a few projects over winter and enjoy the games I've already gone over!

Yea, I think 10 is about the max I want to be at (I have funds for another but I'm waiting for a deal). I too want to get 6 of my 9 pins in better working order.

John Gruden Corona statue is awesome.

The statue is cool, but seeing how he did with the Raiders, he should have stayed the Corona pitch man

First photos of the Game Room 2019

I will be embarking on a bit of a project down here to warm the space up by changing flooring, paint and perhaps replacing the drop ceiling or painting it black.

If I get really ambitious I may move 2 walls and expand in to more of the unfinished storage space.

    Happy new year everyone!

Looking forward to seeing the only new Doctor Who episode of 2019 tonight.

Same here! Hopefully it will be better than the rest of the season. I really like the new doctor - she has the craziness of the 4th (the curator!) and 10th, but I really miss the “magic” of Matt Smith and Tennant’s stories (Moffat’s stories, I suppose)

Great space! I would highly recommend removing the drop ceiling and painting it all matte black above. You will be amazed at how it can seem to open up the space even more.

Decided to move one of the walls 5ft into the other room and added another pin and both my racers all in the same room now!

I worry about sound bleeding through to the first floor and sound from first floor coming through downstairs.

Also, I did have a Doctor Who but I sold it.

I second that. The noise is negligible - unless you do what I did and mount speakers in the ceiling LOL.

I’m not sure about that. You can definitely hear the coils from the pins on the first floor of my house, but that may have been the case with the tiles as well before I removed them. I can’t remember.

What's up with the Daisy model 880 on the wall? Any meaning/history to it?

Didn't have a good place for it and I like to just grab it and kill some time. Seemed fitting considering there was nothing else to fill the space right there.

I have a bunch of daisy's models, 25, 107, 880, Red Riders and on and on but I have a fear of keeping the daisy's around my pins don't need someone to pick one up and kill a back glass, but it does look like yours is out of reach.

I never thought about that before. Thankfully there aren't any kids around here with curious hands.

It has been a while since I have seen Bally ST, Data East ST, and ST-TNG all lined up together like that.
Approximately 22 years ago my obsession with Pinball began with that combination. There was a local "Trekkie" who had those three machines for sale as a single lot. My wife and I ended up purchasing all three star trek pins for a total of $3000.( Times sure have changed ) They were in great condition and needed minimal repairs. Over the years I sold the Bally Star Trek and the Data East machine, but still have the ST-TNG. I miss having the Bally and my wife wishes we still had the data east.

    #12280 5 years ago

    Nice Trek lineup.

    #12281 5 years ago

Holy cow! That's a great deal. I say that, but I got pretty great deals on all 3 of those games for today's prices. I also got really lucky with the condition of all 3. I had to drive to New Orleans for the Bally and the other 2 were less than 20 miles from my house.

    Quoted from Backyardace:

    Nice Trek lineup.

Thanks! Only one more to go!

A few pics from New Year’s Eve.

Looks like it was a nice party, but two pics is not a few. Two is only a couple.
It takes at least three to be a few, but too many more and it becomes several instead of just a few.

My wife and I had always planned to finish off the basement when we built our house in 2011 and moved in the 3 machines we had at the time but seeing how I keep finding corners to put newly acquired machines into the project may never get done! There are 6 more machines hiding behind Space Shuttle, South Park & Cyclone.

Zoom in so it fills the whole screen vertically (I'm using a touch screen device). Now scroll left and right like you're turning your head. Feels like you're in his game room

While many people would agree that "a few" means three or more, the actual dictionary definition of "a few" is, "not many but more than one." So, "a few" cannot be one, but it can be as low as two.

To cover my bases next time I’ll be sure to take three pictures.

    #12291 5 years ago

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."

Cool room, but why use a fisheye if you’re taking multiple shots?

That crib is in the way.

    #12296 5 years ago

I like the stars. I agree they are busy but not overly enough for a game room, you want busy in your arcade area. For me the circles are just to boring, no sense of movement like the star pattern has.

    #12297 5 years ago

My opinion: Stars are way too loud, and circles are too subtle... however "if" those were the only choices, i'd go with circles.

    #12298 5 years ago

I’m leaning toward the blue circles ( which are black light reactive). I like the idea of a darker pinball den, plus it’s easy enough to throw down a crazy neon runner in front of the games for more pop if I wanted.

But then the demented side of me just wants to go balls to the wall and make it total sensory overload...

    #12299 5 years ago

If your room is going to be lit with bl then go with the stars, they light up great and add some flash. I went with Under the Sea bl carpet with 3/8 inch Memory Foam padding, just the right amount of cush and any dents spring right back.

The stars probably pop better, plus it's one the cheapest black light carpeting I've found online:
