My god people.......I was making a joke! I figured I laced it with enough sarcasm that it would be obvious that I was trying to be funny. Even the "snicker" at the end of my post tried to indicate a joke. I mean really, who uses "blasphemy", "egregious" and "transgression' in a single pinball post?
It's pretty plain to see that Wolffcub's games room is awesome.

Obviously I suck at jokes and sarcasm so In the future, I will refrain. That or put the big fucking "Sarcasm" emoji at the end of my post.

I will remove my "thumbs down" for all the people without a sense of humor.

Think I'll keep hanging around the "Let's close this thread down" thread by o-din. There's ton's of off color, racy and nasty humor in there. Feels more like home in there.

I hope “QuickSilverShelb” isn’t a reference to a particular automobile... if so, you might want to investigate what’s under the hood of that “Miata” you just made fun of

Yes, yes, yes! My handle is Quick Silver Shelby and yes, It is a reference to Shelby cars. Thank god at least one person picked up on the fact that my handle is a car reference. I completely thought it was so damn obvious that I was making a "cargument" joke about the endless whining on Pinside about car references. My other passion.
Anyway, let's get back to awesome games room pics.

We picked our new home specifically for the giant game room on the main floor, which includes a kitchen and patio to the side.

I have 3 of them. One stopped working but had a spare transformer from another one that shipped broken and got it working again. They look good, but def not the highest in quality.

Been wanting a dedicated game space forever and finally got around to it. Converted the front half of our 3rd garage bay into a game room. Painted walls, put some floor in this weekend and hung some playfields. Got a buddy coming by to do some graffiti art on the blank wall with fluorescent paints next week. Small space. 180sqft. fits 9 pins. Have walking dead in other room being worked on

Lookin good. I went with bl also but painted walls and ceiling flat black, no light reflections that way. How did you light up the inserts of the pf's? I used strings of 100 led Christmas tree lights that have 9 different effects.

Ya! There is also an overhang that goes out pretty far on the front of the house and doesnt ever get wet around it unless really windy/rainy, which will be tested right now it looks like, yikes!

Ya got some cheap ones off amazon and gorilla taped them on each insert and 2 on big inserts. I did flat black in my theater, but I super hate how flat comes off if you get too close to it so went crazy with semi-gloss here on purpose. Banged some pins against it moving stuff and didn't come off, booyah!

I got mine on ebay $6 delivered, Gorilla tape works great. With low light I think flat looks great, in a theater the brightness of the screen at times really lights up the room so that's one reason they use fabric like material.

This is our other hobby. Really do not touch the pinballs much during the summer as we sleep on the boat EVERY weekend. Last year we took the boat up to Canada for a two week trip from our home port in Milwaukee I need to get bigger boat so I can fit a pinball machine on it.

Playing pinball on a rocking boat would add a whole new dynamic to the game.

    #12196 5 years ago
    Quoted from CoPinfan:

Playing pinball on a rocking boat would add a whole new dynamic to the game.

Long ago (Early 90s), there was a ferry that crossed the Northumberland Strait between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Most of the boats that did this route had at least a few arcade games onboard. One of the larger boats had a pretty decently sized arcade, and I distinctly recall a Data East Simpsons, as well as at least one another pinball machine (i don't recall what game). I played the Simpsons, but I don't remember being frustrated with any sort of boat rocking... perhaps it wasn't too rough the day we sailed.

I also recall some cruise ships have pool tables onboard, with a sort of balancing gyroscope system underneath the tables that attempts to keep them leveled.
