@sawbill... I love the high ceiling!

    #11904 5 years ago

One of the great things about the high ceiling is I can setup my golf simulator and swing clubs during winter.

Lucky. I really want one of those but don't have room to swing a club.

Moved the pinball machines to a different area to make some room for an additional pin or two. Need one more and maybe replace the virtual pin with another.

Yep, hanging drywall on the ceiling is hell on the shoulders!! 12 footers will darn near kill a man!!
    Looking good!

That's why I bought a sheet rock lift an a section of scaffolding when I did the 9ft 6inch high ceiling in my garage and I did it all by myself too.

This is the only way to do it. I got a lift and haven't looked back. No more relying on friends etc for a hand and no more pain.

its almost cheaper as well, since all my buddies require beer to participate!

This is similar to how my room looked, until I finally broke down the pool table and stored it to make room for more pins.

Yep. I set my foosball table on its end in the back of the basement to put more pins in my game room.

    #11915 5 years ago

I don’t have a pool table, or fooseball table or air hockey, just junk

Grrrr, I could cover for 3 of those, but hotels here are $400 per night! Even at the cheap motels, guess you could sleep under twilight zone, but I hear you might get lost

Luckily I have an unfinished room that my wife is encouraging me to finish as a game room. I'm about out of room in my current space.

Looks good. So how many more pins are you planning on getting? How big is the other room?

    #11931 5 years ago

How to decorate the door of game room? According to my friends, their old door is boring, and as part of renewal of the room, door decoration makes sense with pinball related graphics.
The frame color is based on Road Show blue.
    Looks good

Where did they purchase the graphics they used?

It's an odd sized room and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. 9'x10'6" with 12' ceiling. Plenty of room for my future SW topper.

    Quoted from RWH:

Where did they purchase the graphics they used?

They've scanned dozens of playfields, translites and cabinet decals. This is a compilation of about 30 individual graphics.

My wife and I have waited over 3 years to get permits, demolish and build! We started moving in on Wednesday! Here are some pics of the downstairs game room starting to take shape (kind of). The stairs head to the upper game room!

We had a party in our game room yesterday with family and friends. There is still a lot of remodeling to do, but … the party must go on. Here are some pre-party pics of the "arcade room" and a video link to a quick walk through that includes the other areas. Waiting on a JJPOTC to be delivered in a couple of months … the couch in the arcade room will soon be history.
