Thanks! Hmmm I don’t know if a mame setup would work with Heavy Barrel. One way to find out

    Quoted from screaminr:

Wow how good does that game look ! I'm not sure it was impressive it was just a matter of remembering what's in the boxes . I love it when the game calls out "Heavy Barrel" when you get all the bits to the gun, it was one of the few games I could finish like double dragon, just elbow everybody. I only have room for one arcade machine , I'm going to get a hyper spin ( please don't hate me ) can you play Heavy Barrel on Mame without the twisting joysticks ?

Had the place all decked out for our annual Halloween party yesterday. Was quite the hit. Even had the element of real death as the night before a very large Mountain Lion that’s been here the last 3 nights, got within 10 yards of me and my new puppy as we were setting up outside. Turned around right in time before he had a chance to pounce on poor Nugget.

It’s all about the rotating joystick. If you have them, then it will be fun. I don’t have rotating joysticks. They’re not cheap on eBay either.

    .
Hey there is an Idea! But No, I don't.

I invited friends over last Friday to play. My other games got some play too.
The slots could have made me some coin, but they need repair.

I always wondered what people did with slots in their house. I wasn’t sure if it was just for fun with some fake tokens or if people set them up to payout for real.

You don’t feel bad for taking money from your friends?

    #11862 5 years ago

I want to get a Bluebird 2 slot one day and if I did, I would set it up for penny plays, and put a bowl of pennies out for people to use. If they win, the jackpot goes back into the bowl. If they play using their own pennies, then they would get to keep their winnings.

    #11863 5 years ago

I have about 8 Bally slots set up for tokens instead of quarters. They're always filled with tokens, including the payout trays. I would guess if I made them run on quarters, it'd be just a matter of time that I'd be busted for operating an illegal casino. So, every machine in the room is set to free play.

    I have a BB2 I would put in as a trade towards a pin

LOL - No pins that I want to give up yet (haven't sold any yet). We would likely get a WOZ or Alice in Wonderland. Not a rush, but please send me the overall width of the BB2. I acquired/bought 2 different used surround toppers and a double topper for newer model WOZ slots from a Vegas casino that light up and I want to see if a BB2 would fit in the opening for them. If not, I might just put a large digital picture frame in it for pinball related pics from our "pinventures" around the country … maybe some of the short pinball hype videos.

Quoted from screaminr: can you play Heavy Barrel on Mame without the twisting joysticks ?

Just by chance someone was selling on our version of Craigslist ( Gumtree ) a hyperspin cabinet with rotating joysticks so yes you can play games like Heavy Barrel on mame . But you do need rotating joysticks .

    #11871 5 years ago

Instead of mame, just build one of these.

Twilight Zone has been fully rebuilt, Funhouse as well. POTC is a HUO. Whirlwind and BOP are next to be fully restored, Space Station is the newest family member. I will have to decide what I will do with that one, for now I like it a lot though it's waiting for leds to be installed on the playfield.

HarrieD , how’s the PF on Space Station?

    #11900 5 years ago
    Quoted from ToucanF16:

harried , how’s the PF on Space Station?

It's in decent shape. Protected by mylar but some inserts came up for like 2/10 of a millimeter pushing the mylar up there. Also 3 inserts on the right side are blank because they are not protected by mylar anymore.

So plan of action: remove mylar (freeze method), stick new insert decals where necessary, airbrush and clearcoat.
