Where did you get that Arcade sign? Was that an old operator sign? That looks amazing.

Hobby Lobby sells (sold?) individual letters that you could make any word you want out of. I waited until they were on sale and bought them.

    Quoted from MustangPaul:

    That's your gameroom?

Yes. A view from the outside. Game room is above a 3 car garage.

    Quoted from toyotaboy:

yea, but getting pins up there really sucks

Yes. It does. Two of my buddies now give me every excuse in the book when I ask them if they can help me make a pinball exchange. I really gotta like a game for it to be “stair worthy”!

    Quoted from Micky:

Two bloody great pins! Can't wait to get my Dracula restored so I can pop it that topper on it looks great.
Where did you get the poster from?

I got it from a movie poster distributor on eBay. Actually, what I got that's really cool for Drac is this framed limited edition print. Ties the room together. No room for a pin in the bedroom, unfortunately, unless the pin can double as a bed. Given this is Pinside, I wouldn't put it past someone to suggest.

Got the cab in for the GP yesterday. Today the hard part. Have to take apart the base to get it in.

My sons was a little scared of endo. So we gave him some style.

Hopefully once I get the Gp set up today I will take some pics of the new set up.

Blitz, Make sure that you have plenty of support for your elevated gameroom. Most wood framed, elevated floors aren’t designed for all of the extra weight of a pinball collection, not to mention a bunch of gameroom players. In my last house, I added about 8 columns that I purchased from Lowe’s.

Great point. The end of the room with the pinballs is directly above a main support beam. The room is small, 10x20, so once there’s 3 people in there, it’s officially crowded. Everything that’s gonna fit is in there now. The guy who originally built the house was an Enron exec who had a woodbuilding hobby. The room was his climate controlled workshop. Counter height electrical outlets around to room. I haven’t seen any signs of frame sag (cracks in drywall, etc). I’ll keep my fingers crossed for good measure, though! Haha!

You should make some kind of elevator, won't take up that much floor space in the garage or second floor.

Highly unlikely there isn't additional support already there if he had much of a shop.

F-14 kicked my ass when I got it. All the inserts were messed up when I got it. Star Wars is great. I play just about everyday. So much to do and It kicks my Ass everytime. I have a Jukebox and some slots to put in the space, but need to work out power and locations for them. It is work in progress.

My F-14 was so bad it was like skating in a rock quarry! I installed a repro playfield and did a full restoration. It's awesome now! My goto pin for improving fast reaction skills. I'm 54 years old. This is my program to prevent Alzheimer's. LOL!

    Finally got everything rolling.

I don’t know if the T-800 will live in the kitchen forever because he takes up a lot of room but we will be there atleast through my 40th birthday.

Special thanks to Jonathan from ASOA for helping me with the second moto GP.

I tried one once years ago..... I think it was worse than Corona.

I used to have lighted shelves for bottles. Then that area was taken over by games. I need to find more wall area for the shelves because they are pretty bad ass. Since the shelves came down a couple of those bottles have mysteriously disappeared.

    Quoted from lurch:

Normally it wouldnt be an issue but with a $3400 mortgage...... Not as much "FU" money as I had previously. I'll get some cheap arcades over the next few months then consolidate them into a new pin or two as things progress.

You must have a huge family. Nice space...

    #11280 5 years ago
    Quoted from tamoore:

I might be buying a new house, so I might be saying goodbye to my basement arcade... Pretty much all of it. I think I'll be able to keep 8 pins, a jukebox or two, and maybe a video game.

Haha! Maybe trade out the TZ for a World Poker Tour? I wasn’t intentionally going for an “all W” lineup, but I’m close!

Such a polite way of saying, "what the fuck is all that shit on top of your games!"

    I like it.

    #11298 5 years ago

I love toppers but I think they should come with the pin.

    #11299 5 years ago

Toppers work when a game is designed for it.

Whirlwind, Addam’s... I can’t be bothered to thinking of any better examples.
