I might be buying a new house, so I might be saying goodbye to my basement arcade... Pretty much all of it. I think I'll be able to keep 8 pins, a jukebox or two, and maybe a video game.

Nice. But to avoid glare I would have installed the overhead lights over the center aisle instead of over where the games are.

I meant physically - I see the spiral staircase; how the heck do you get a whole game up those steps?!?
Among other things, I have several old phones in my game room in various spots. They're all connected to a Western Electric 30 station switchboard which can link any or all of them together. Switchboard was removed from a motel back in the 60's and sat for years. I found it at an estate sale...took a bit of research, but I managed to get it up and running perfectly. Fun project.

You need one of those really old ones with the seperate ear and mouth pieces that you have to turn the crank to get the operators attention.

Ah, a man after my own heart!
I, too, have several antique phones in my home. I have a three-coin slot payphone and a Dreyfus just like you, and a Western Electric 302 cradle with separate ringer box, along with a WE50AL, which has the separate ear and mouthpiece. These are great fun, and it's amazing that they all work, considering that some are approaching 100 years old.

He meant the basement, these are very rare here in California. Pretty much like finding a unicorn that poops golden eggs.
Apparently it is fairly common for pool tables to stay behind with sold houses, because of the high cost of moving them.

I just produced this dial tone generator, works on a 12 volt wall wart. If you attach it to your tip and ring wires on your phone, you get a dial tone. Something you might be interested in, for your display phones. Makes it sound like it should. You can even put it inside your phone and run a 12 volt supply to it.

Very interesting, although I have all of my phones in use at the moment. I use a Dialgizmo, which will generate the proper push-button tone after counting the pulses when a number is dialed, along with a ring booster, which boosts the voltage to all of the phones when there's an incoming call. All are set up using an Ooma Telo. Works like a charm!

Exactly, we looked at houses for 3 years before settling on this one and while the basement wasn’t the only factor in us picking it, it was the first house in 3 years of looking that we have seen one.
Today while having the gas turned back on the technician asked where the water heater was... I told him the basement to which I got a blank “huh” stare lol.
Table seems solid, it’s three piece slate... if we end up not playing it then will probably just give away providing they have it professionally moved.

Mines a 7 ft 3 piece slate, a friend and I took it apart in about an hour and moved it from my basement to the garage. A professional set it up and leveled it which was about $200. Friends and I play it all the time.

There's a standard utility staircase in the back that isn't seen in the pics very often.

Walk out would be cool but no the basement is completely underground so games will have to go in/out via stairs.

In the process of a game room renovation by a fellow pinsider. We built a detached garage and converted our existing - needed more space. Things are starting to come together! All of the games are on the other side of the basement. I have to move them to the side they are working on now before it is finished. We added a home theater and a few other things too. Couldn’t be happier with our contractor and the help from our friends within this community.

That is funny. I got back into pinballs about 20 years ago because I love to work on things but traveled all the time and hated to leave cars parts laying around in our 2 car garage. I now think everyone needs a 5 car garage and problem solved.

I just have the Mustang but oh to have a DEEP 5 car garage. I put a 12x22 ft extension onto the side of my 24x24 garage so now I have lots of room for it, a work shop and another gameroom but I do wish it was 10ft longer.
