No, to heavy for road racing, Mexican block 302, 306 now.

Out there a few weeks ago. Looked at a $1M 1200 sqft house (what I'd call an efficiency) in silicon valley. That's just bat shit crazy.

Yep you about hit the nail on the head there. #BSC2018

    That is an awesome fridge!

    Quoted from lurch:

Normally it wouldnt be an issue but with a $3400 mortgage...... Not as much "FU" money as I had previously. I'll get some cheap arcades over the next few months then consolidate them into a new pin or two as things progress.

I’d happily trade you mortgage payments.

    Why is it (mostly) empty?

Last time I was in Leesburg was the 80's. All I remembered was a sleepy, quaint little town in VA with an old theater somewhere 'downtown'. Then decades later I saw an article or whatnot...wow, what a change! Didn't even recognize it.

Garage door must be for easy haul in/out of all the games. I wish I had that

That's definitely a benefit, but the garage door is also important for easy in/out of autos...

Now that's one of a kind. Nice.

    Quoted from lurch:

Yeah, google: "richest county in US" and thats where i live. Used to be farmland when i grew up, now expensive ass houses.

Same thing is happening around my in-laws. People paying over 30k an acre and building million dollar+ houses.

I'm not even sure I recognize it and I've lived most of my life. It's nuts. Everyday there's a new building or development going up. I do miss those small town days of the 80s!!!!

    #11169 5 years ago

It still has all the nice country roads and horse farms... just a lot of traffic back logs. I'm off route 15 a couple states up and it's pretty much the same situation

To go full on geek mode here I’d like to state that I recognized this as World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES.
Oh and by the way, that brick box on the right contains a leaf.

Your wife does an awesome job!

You nailed it! SM3 is her favorite. She got to pick the theme for the steps. I get pick the themes for the basement and I can’t wait! One wall will he a pac-man level, another wall is going to be Donkey Kong level 1. And then I’m going to have her draw some super large characters on the other walls of Dirk the Daring, Scorpion and Sub Zero, Joust, Ryu, and Frogger are some of the possibilities.

Gotta watch for cabinet fade with all of that sunlight coming in.

Looks like Robinson Thin brick product we used on one of our kitchen walls. Real brick cut very thin. I’m assuming it’s that or something similar.

    That's what I was thinking.

Thanks guys, we worked hard on this project! Wife picked the blue countertops with everyone scratching their heads until it was installed, now she's a genius!

The brick is actual brick. The wall behind the pins was a cement basement wall. They built a 2x4 wall right up against it and then bricked it up. The brick wall where the TV is just went up against the existing wall. We wanted to feel like we were someplace else when we are in the basement, now it feels like a real bar!

How many sq. ft.? Looks huge!

    #11198 5 years ago

The lens the photographer used is making a large room look even larger! I'm assuming a wide angle. Whatever the glass is on it though it takes beautiful pictures. Room looks great, I'll echo the thoughts on the blue counter top, very cool. Polished/epoxied concrete floor is nice, barn boards backing the dart board is great too, any miss shots will look right at home on the wall I'm guessing if it is distressed wood. This looks like a room you'd find in houzz for sure.

    #11199 5 years ago
    Quoted from mbwalker:

How many sq. ft.? Looks huge!

The room is pretty big, but the lens does make it look bigger and the ceiling is about 10' making it look huge. It's about 45 x 20, so roughly 900 sf.

The shuffleboard is a 20' table.

    #11200 5 years ago

Honestly, if you could just tidy things up a bit better, it would be perfect

I agree, the blue counter is just brilliant. What a great look.
