It's been a while since I had a collection in my one bedroom apartment

They fit perfect there, I hope you don't bother your neighbors.

Nope- and on bottom floor my surround sound plus sub doesn't bother either, within reason.

Well I am starting my basement, it used to be semi finished but we flooded in 2011. So it has been basically a wood shop and storage since then while I rebuilt the house. Second kid is due end of july so me and my boy need a good space to play!

How big? Think it will flood again?

I doubt it but now I have flood insurance at least.. 6 feet of water on my main floor.

Would really like a piece of carpet like that! Could you hit me up with some info? Do they cut it to size for you?

I went thru Caldwell carpet: http://www.caldwellcarpet.com/black-light-carpet.htm

    Great company to deal with.

What are you using for black lights?

It was a pain and made a big mess, I'm just glad all the walls didn't need to be wire brushed to bare cement. Looks great now and hopefully I won't have to do it again for many years but with 70 year old cement block ya never know.

2 cfl's in the ceiling and a 2ft led fixture under the pins. The glow doesn't show up well on my camera

Putting one under the pins really helps.

A picture of your under cab setup would be appreciated>

    Quoted from fnosm:

All ya do is screw the fixture to about the middle (not covering the speaker hole) of the cab bottom so it's within easy reach to turn it on from the front of the machine and tape the cord to the underside of the game going to the back.

Now just shoot my your address so I can mail you a Pens hat to replace the one you're wearing.

Did a bit of sheetrock tonight, the wall to the left will be framed up and sheetrocked next. The line up will include a firepower and all points bulletin when I finish them too.

OK so the full thread on building this I just put up here:
    https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/project-apollo-the-pinball-assembly-room
but here are some pics of the final product:

Well, I guess it'll do in pinch... Seriously tho, very nice!!

Just a thought, you might want to put some UV blocker on the doors (if you haven't already) to keep cabinet fade down from the sun.

I actually painted my wall for the projector screen, then framed it with 1x4's covered in velveteen. Turned out better than I could have imagined. There was a AV site that had the idea of "This is what an excellent/expensive screen looks like.", then they tried to find the paint that most correctly match the performance at a very reasonable price.

16x25 will be a great size for a game room. You could get 8 or 9 machines on one wall...

For that kind of roof forget about roofing paper and shingles, use Ice Barrier in rolls and roll shingles. I did that on my garage addition that looks like yours and it will never leak now. And don't forget about a big gutter on the back side with long down spouts.

    My little collection.
The pinball machines and the game consoles and home computers are in the basement.
All are conected to the cocktail table. So I can play Atari 2600, Commodore 64 ... on that screen.

The "big" arcade machine is upstairs in the "kids area". But the rarely play anything but their Wii.

Just reloacted to a new house and my wife said I get the entire basement to myself.

Here’s what I get to work with:

Mind the aspects, it’s hard to find decent starting photos to work with.

One of the goals is to one day get MM alone in the middle of the dungeoney brick wall.

Nice job, looks like more then 3 machines. Is that all the space you have to work with, how big is it?

Plenty of room on that opposite wall...

Looks great, but lose those overhead spotlights, they will cause nothing but glare. Indirect dimmable lighting works best......

Major renovations happening on my basement. Want to give it a real arcade feel. What’s a good paint color to go with the wood baseboard?

Yeah I wasn’t sure what to do with lighting. I thought adjustable track would be best?

Otherwise yeah, I should be able to fit 8 comfortably on the long wall and 4 on the short wall. I’d also like to get a 4player multicade for those other folk.

Great game, but you need to slide that in the middle of a row to try to hide the cabinet fade.

I need to shop it out before sliding it in..... there's an empty space behind it out of view (between Avatar and Jackbot)
