I share the basement with my kids. Their space keeps getting smaller and smaller!

What size, model and manufactured is the pool table?

Keep at it and you'll eventually take it all over! I did the same thing over the years and now have the entire basement jammed with 25 pins and arcades

8 foot "The Hustler" by Western Billiards probably the late 60's. My grandparents bought it new.

Likely was modeled after the one Jackie Gleason and Paul Newman shot on in the movie, "The Hustler" .

Awsome looks like the same building newly redone. Where you able to save any of your game's?

    #9809 6 years ago

Saved the pinball machines, nothing else worth the effort. Same shop, new insulation, walls, ceiling, electrical, etc. That was pretty much my summer.

    #9810 6 years ago

The pinball corner of my game room. Room for one more real machine to the right of my mini. The middle is the outstanding Pinball FX3 on the Nintendo Switch that supports portrait mode on the console docked or undocked. The removable joy cons really complete the package rather than having a traditional controller. I need to get a better stand though to highlight the GBA Pokémon Pinballs and DS Metroid Prime Pinball. Also got a handheld Pinbot I need room for.

I don't know man, looks like room for three more pins to me. Sell that other stuff.

Is that an actual TZ Translite on the wall?

    #9813 6 years ago

No, it's a blown up picture printed on plastic board. I would love to have a TZ though outside of the digital realm though.

    #9814 6 years ago

I finally got my dart board wall done, picture attached. Also made a video of it here:

I couldn't find a good dart board cabinet, there aren't very many good options.

I love this thread. I get some really great ideas from it. I Thought I'd throw mine out there.

Looks like a great space to hang out in... and a terrific collection. Is that a secondary display of iScored? Or are you using a touchscreen display?

    Thanks for sharing.

Your own collection is pretty nice, too. But I don't think your wish list is long enough.

Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words.

Its my main display in my setup, sort of. It is an extra flat screen that I had, equipped with a Intel Compute Stick and a cheap bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Scores can either be entered there or I also have a Tablet that we move from game to game and use for score entry more than half the time. I'm entertaining the idea of a touch screen mounted somewhere but really like how easy it is to read and it has become a HUGE hit with the neighborhood kids and my friends to be able to try to best their own high score...regardless of their skill level.

Too funny. I actually hadn't looked at it in a long time and I think I had just been clicking "add to my wishlist" whenever a game I saw caught my attention. That way I get notification for marketplace ads. But I definitely need to (and will right now) clean it up a bit, as some of those original attention getters turned out to be turds after I played them a few times. Thanks for the reminder.

Don't worry i have OCD too. I want to have them in groups. If you noticed I had them Bally-Williams-Bally-Williams.....
My collection has changed since that pic too. Playboy out- earthshaker in. So now 4 dmd and 4 sys11s, but it was 4 Bally and 4 Williams. Arghh!!! I'll have to get 2 more Bally's to even it up.

I guess compared to other rooms on here I will call mine the mini game room. here is a picture of about half, need to put stuff in the other half.

My wife made the light fixture from black pipe and fittings. you can not tell, but the light bulbs are those Edison style led bulbs. she has some skinny bulbs that look like old time radio and tv tubes, we went with just the round ones here.

I love vintage pool tables.....nice that it was your grandparents and is still in the family.

My father bought a used 1890's 4 1/2ft by 9ft Brunswick pool table back in the late 1940's or early 1950's and I don't have it but my cousins do.
The good thing is I got to use it at my grandmothers house in the 1960's to 1980's.

I just tore down all the wood paneling in my basement, it was painted baby blue. The bright red wallpaper was a nice surprise under that.

I love the paneling also. It is real wood not printed. My wife wanted to paint it white. We agreed the cave was mine and upstairs was hers. It is dark but I just can't paint the wood! My first house was tiny. No pins there.

I am getting Houdini as soon as they ship. I stumbled onto a 1958 Double Action that I may wedge in next to Houdini. Have to move the slots to make room.

I’m trying to get one in January,

Rschuetter, that is an amazing sit down driver. Exactly what I'd like to do but I don't have any idea how to build one. Is there a good site that I can go to in order to get better educated on building a wicked sit down driver?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    QSS

A couple sites are out there that don’t look all that great. If you pm me I can send some pics and dimensions / build notes. Really pretty easy to do. The aluminum cuts really easily with a good multi-material blade. The rest was just getting the right connectors and brackets. Got everything I needed off of eBay.

    Sweet dart board!

Of all the things, the dartboard gets the most use when people are over. The color screen is a big help to drawing people in to play. A ton of fun.
