We are a Packer fan family from Wisconsin and proudly own stock! MN just has to deal with us lol

    #9204 2 years ago

It isn't a proper game room without a dog (or pet)

Thought I'd share this with you guys. This is the reason why I got into pinball. Picture of my old man back in 1990 in his gameroom and a present day picture of myself yesterday. The same Centaur II btw!

    This is amazing, thank you.

Nice Hit the Deck. You still have that one?

The Mario themed ottomans are really cool. Did you make them or buy them somewhere?

I got them from a couple on klov. They hand made only 6 sets of them and I grabbed the last set! I've had them for about 5 years and are still in great condition. The tops come off and store game game controllers!

Yes the old man still has the Hit the Deck. It's in great shape and I was told he picked it up for 200 bucks back in the late 80s. Pretty crazy.

    #9210 2 years ago

So does your dad still have a gameroom and does he like yours. Must have been cool having a dad like that growing up and of course still. How fun to be able to play pinball with your dad. Also like the fact he had a bar.

No unfortunately he lost interest in collecting pinball. When I was little kid he had about 8 machines at one point and it dwindled down to 4 for the longest time and then I bought Centaur and Space Shuttle from him. He has Hit the Deck and Comet collecting a little bit of dust in a pack ratted basement. He loves my collection and enjoys playing my games but as far as him having a game room I think that ship sailed awhile back but he still enjoys the hobby with me.

    #9212 2 years ago

Right on that's super cool that you guys can play and at least he has two great games still. The nice thing about pinball is they are there whenever you feel like playing. Your very lucky to have an awesome dad.

The similar dogs is what I like most. Clever.

Absolutely. It helped when coming into this hobby because he was always supportive on my decisions when I think that any other parent would maybe be against a young adult buying pinball machines instead of doing something else with that money. My life worked out very well regardless but It was nice to have that. Especially when having to move back home once after some trouble and needing help moving a couple machines in the house

So, you are saying that HtD might be for sale? Pass on my info--your dad can double his money.

Scott, I would think that you'd have a Hit the Deck by now.

Finally got my basement finished up after a couple months of work. Starting to get the games back. Only have the Badcats pinball at the moment, but going to be adding more over time. Started on the arcade side of things, have around 35+ of those.

It's just too bad nobody ever gets to stick around and play it, because they always hit the deck running.

Great looking space! Are the Tron, Hobbit and Avengers posters just regular ones that are backlit or are they special types?

Backlit. They all are, 6 in total. The star wars and dr strange are too I just didn't have them on. I swap out with authentic double sided to change the look a bit from time to time.

I LOVE that color you painted the walls. I'm calling it 'beet'. Makes the room look RICH!

Great job on the make-over. Lot's of work. I know. Because I've done it myself too. But sure is rewarding when you are done!!!

Thanks! I wanted to try to do something that was bold and not boring. And it's really excellent at making the white trim pop. I did several coats of burgundy which I think gives it a nice maroon look.
