Quoted from adborto:Figured I'd join in on the fun. It's always changing - who knows what will be there next month. I definitely need more space!
Nice space. I love the air hockey table
Quoted from Hop-Pac:Bring him by. We'll watch a game. Go Blues!!!
If we're ever in Pennsylvania A few years back there was a show in Pittsburgh...
Quoted from dahlman:Game room...in progress.
Is that 6 bottles of famous grouse on that ledge??
Quoted from hlaj78:Kinda hard to see, but we got red brick paneling from Menards to use on 2 walls and hung the "PINBALL ALLEY" sign there.... have gotten many compliments on the brick...
Don, you should show your whole gameroom, including your home-made mad scientist set up.
Howie
You're right Howie!
Quoted from yzfguy:That eyeball lamp is cool as hell!
Thanks - it's got a color changing led, from Spirit Halloween, i think, probably close to 10 years ago -
Quoted from pinzrfun:You're right Howie!
Your controls are awesome. I took these shots at the Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center. These were going to be my inspiration for something similar in my game room, but you beat me to it! I hope to build something that cool. You probably can buy some of this stuff in some surplus place somewhere.

Quoted from B5Blues:Picked the bud sign up at a yard sale for $40! Just needed a good cleaning.
Your kidding. That's a $300-$400 sign.

Wow! That is an incredible gameroom!
I have a Ghostbusters themed arcade and I've been thinking for years about eventually adding some giant piece of equipment like you have to the left of your bar. Something with lots of lights, knobs, buttons, etc. I figured it would fit the whole crazy tech themes inside of Ghostbusters. Where did you stumble on some of that stuff if you don't mind me asking? I found some neat stuff on eBay years ago but the last few times I've tried searching I've come up dry. I'm not even sure what to type in the search box to get equipment like that.
Thanks! Vintage audio is another habit of mine....and blue chip was the first game I bought, about 10 years ago.

Thanks, that's the vibe I was going for. Having grown up watching Lost in Space and Batman, I fell in love with that whole look.

Thanks! We had a lot of fun putting it together.
I have a large industrial fuse box with the big red throw switch that I'm going to incorporate onto the wall....somehow...
We live near a college, my dad found that 50 year old rack at the Property Disposition building where they sell all the old desks, lab equipment, chairs, everything. I see you're in Charleston, the college there must have a similar setup. That was pure luck, to be honest, but you could build a "rack" from plywood and make it look like rusted metal, there are instructables online and it looks incredibly realistic.
The actual electronic things in the rack and on the wall I've picked up over the years at estate and yard sales, from the trash bin at work, scouring recycle yards for gauges and buttons and things (I've been wanting to do this a LONG time). I wired leds into some, and bought a couple blinking circuits online and wired them up. You can use a string of xmas lights too.
You could trash pick some old switches/buttons/gauges and custom make something too. Again, online sci-fi prop instructables can help get the look you want.
I actually have some leftover things similar to the ones mounted on the wall, I didn't want it to get too crowded but can't bring myself to toss them out.....
Quoted from cheshirefilms:My space is small- and a number of titles have come and gone- but it's starting to feel like a game room.
Nice!
Quoted from racer_x:Small house + 4 kids = small game room.
Looks like a cool place to grow. Where do I sign up?

found this on Ebarf, for sale, old tape reader for CNC machine...

Want a fifth kid? Sign me up! You have some lucky kids. I hope they appreciate it. Looks like a fun place for all your kids' friends to hang out.
It's been a while since I posted pics..... done some game changes (and took out the bowling alley)...more room now. Snuck in a pic of the Vanilla Ice bathroom and the Billy Dee Williams mini-kitchen

What's with all the Vanilla Ice?
Cool looking Battlezone chasis mounted on the wall.

Third winter..... with the mudroom between the house and the garage/game room, its much warmer overall (nice buffer). Everything is holding up nicely though the carpet has a few wrinkles in it from moving games. Heating has not been crazy expensive either. Most of the time, my kids are up there watching dumb Disney shows or playing Wii U
Quoted from AlexF:Here's a few pics my wife took tonight. My gameroom is constantly evolving. It will probably look different next month.

I did it because its dumb .... I wanted a theme in the bathroom that wasn't arcade related.... Vanilla Ice made sense so I picked up a bunch of crap off ebay. I did see him in concert last December at a I Love the 90's show. Even the hand soap is vanilla scent.
Max-Badazz
Great room I love all the stuff on the walls. I would have fun just looking at everything.
I finally have most my marquees up but damn your walls are awesome

That's hilarious....great looking room! I love game rooms with stuff all over the walls, something to see everywhere you look.

That's cool looking, I got a reel to reel at a yard sale that I'm going to incorporate into my rack.

WOW!!! Third winter, that sure went fast. I followed your build topic all the way.
I've worked on a lot of gamerooms and commercial spaces fabricating signage. I was just at a spot I did a few years ago and took some pics of the letters I made for the space. If anyone us interested in some custom signage for their game feel free to send a message.
Quoted from hlaj78:Don, you need some poison bottles for that shelf!?
Zoom in behind the reel to reel, but heck yeah if you have some!
A Vanilla Ice bathroom...
Thats so F'n dope & weird
You sir are one of my favorites now. It takes a special kind of person to have a Vanilla Ice room. Thats not some "Bed Bath & Beyond" shit anyone can just pick up. That was a very deliberate choice you made lol
I may have to bring a Vanilla Ice element into my game room now. Kudos dude

What a room!
