Brady's ego must be "deflated" after two interceptions!

    Glad they lost.

But the broncos are my divisional rivals..... hopefully the panthers will win the SB.

Got the game room cleaned up a bit and the pins arranged last night. It will be short lived though as I am probably picking up a new game soon.

I played Laser War for the first time at INDISC a few days ago. Super fun game.

Love the light! Nice clean looking place!
I see a neon to the right, I'd like to see what this place looks like all lit up at night...

    #5911 3 years ago
    Quoted from Wickerman2:

I can do any game going down by myself with an appliance dolly. I've got it down to a science. Takes me a matter of minutes literally. I just need a way to protect a new set of stairs...

Lay a moving blanket down at the top of the stairs with a couple feet hanging over. Lay game down on blanket, back of game facing stairs. Flip excess blanket up over back of game. Pull the game over the threshold until gravity pitches in, and just walk it down one step at a time, making sure the blanket doesnt get pulled under. Youre in front of the game, letting gravity do the work. You are just keeping it from tobogganing down the stairs.

I moved all 18 of my games into my basement like this. Dollies are for going UP.

Thanks. That's how I move them now(just brought in a RBION by myself today!). Getting new stairs--don't want to trash them. I'll add the blanket--sounds like best solution.

One of the coolest things in this game-room (besides obviously the pins themselves), is the neon sign right above the budlight sign!

That is where my pin dolly comes in lol. For now i make due, with only 2 more years until we move to the beach and build, when that happens we go from 3200 sq ft to 5500. The extra footage is for my game room

I got it at Flagship Carpet. That was about 3 years ago now. Here is the ordeal I went through getting it, hopefully you have better luck than I did in that department if you go that route.

Why put pins in the garage when you can stash your Ferrari collection?

    #5937 3 years ago

Thanks for this! I now realize I can get rid of a shelving unit and cram a bunch of sh*t under my pins to free up space!

Because you can fit pins in a furnished basement. You can't do that with cars.

    No basements in these parts.

Big garages are as good as it gets. I'd give my left nut for the garage in the picture.

Did that 4 years ago. moved 20 pins and vids from the trailer I was living in.

How long did it take to move all of them? My basement is a pain, but I figure once I got rolling, I could probably get them all out in 6 hours.

Jesus. Remind me to miss that text or email for help when that day comes.

    #5949 3 years ago

Ha! It's purely a guess, including the time it would take to break down the games and load them up.

My new system actually works pretty well - I put them on a lift cart (one that lifts to something like 4 feet) and line it up with my window - then I slide it onto a convertible dolly outside the window, and wheel it around the yard. I've actually gotten it down pretty well, and have managed to do it myself a few times (though I don't prefer it).

My old system was me and a friend lifting it up/down my stairs - which includes a 30" landing at the bottom (meaning I have to lift the pin over my half wall to clear) and a 90 degree corner at the top, making the use of an escalera impossible (trust me..).

Here's our temporary gameroom. Eventually, I hope the get the 30' x 50' heated garage empty enough that I can start creating my dream arcade in there.
