    Quoted from sleazius:

Its the basement of my pool house, which I extended so that it would connect back to my house. So the pinball room (batcave) at the far end has a lift shaft (with a lift eventually) which goes into my billiard room in my house.
In effect the Batcave is a tunnel, it is almost 2ft underground. Its like a bomb shelter with pins. Kind of like pmwolf's setup only mine goes between two buildings.

Wow this is amazing. My unfinished basement and 5 pins sure look like shite next to this. Thanks for sharing!

    #5102 8 years ago

    wow.... iám out of words.

    #5103 8 years ago

Tearing out the wet bar that came with the house since it was horribly designed. Counter top was warping, foot areas were all cracked. Just poorly constructed. Even the carpet was cut around the base so now there are holes where the feet stood.

Eh well. I'll be redoing the basement next year hopefully. New carpet, open up the walls, etc. For now, this will give me room for three or four more machines easily. Leaving the top section in place. Drum set will move beneath it.

That's gonna be some work for sure. Demo is always fun.

Yeah. I'm gonna build some cabinet storage on the left side there where the sink was. The basement has no storage options at all.

Neither does mine.....it's filled with games.

Seems to be the Aussie pin show here, so I may as well add mine.
Pin room (was the spare bedroom).
    image.jpg
I also have a BoP in the lounge, and an EATPM that I'm restoring currently.
As with others, looking at options for a dedicated games room space.
    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Nice line-up.

We went and saw the house with our project manager this weekend. We close on the house 09 Oct, and we move in starting that weekend. The big, big move will be 14 Oct, as the rates are the cheapest both mid-month and mid-week.

Here's the progression of the basement. As usual, no other pictures except the exterior of the house (trying to keep it a gameroom specific post - I should just make a thread on this as this is my very first home ever outside of rent, apartments, townhomes, shared housing, etc).

The drywall is up, paint has been applied, and the ceiling panels are now in place as well as the light fixtures.

First, overall shot of the basement. Cubby hole to the far right is where the 3-4 pins will go.
    Picture 021.jpgPicture 021.jpg

Focus in this picture is the cubby hole for the pins.
    Picture 022.jpgPicture 022.jpg

Quick picture of the media room. What will go here is still TBD.
    Picture 023.jpgPicture 023.jpg

Here is looking from the threshold of the media room back out across the basement. Directly in front of this POV is where the pool table will go.
    Picture 025.jpgPicture 025.jpg

And finally, here is the exterior of the home. Pretty much done except for the grass sod being laid out, driveway and sidewalks being paved, electric meter as well as A/C unit still need to be put in, some exterior lights, etc. It's getting there that's for sure...

beautiful house Guess the neighbors like you already unless you broke in to take that pic! Prediction: within 1 year, media room=pin space

    #5112 8 years ago

There's nothin like your first house, especially having it built, I know your gonna love it. I had my first built in '88-'86, 1300sqft, 2 car tuck under garage. $109,00 with land included, got a great loan rate too.......13%.

Here are a few quick and poor picks of the "game room". It pales in comparison to some of the places you all have but it is my little slice of heaven. The basement will probably never be finished but now that I have claimed this space in the basement from the wife's storage, I will (hopefully) always have it.

Thought I'd finally contribute here after seeing all the Aussies post lately! In a bit of a mess at the moment but will likely stay that way as pins keep getting rotated through the workspace in the back corner..

    #5121 8 years ago

Added 2 more pins to the 1 bedroom apartment collection for a total of 10 pins and 1 arcade. A NF and a FT both in great shape with no fade!!! Time to buy a house to keep expanding

WOW 10. You'd be in REAL trouble if you had a house with a basement.

Nice line up Pinhead87...I admire your willingness to give up living space for pins. A gameroom and a bedroom. I suppose one wouldn't need much else.

    #5128 8 years ago

Looking for a new house, so unfortunately I've recently downsized my collection. Still holding onto a few good ones though, and going to rebuild once I have more space, and enough area to really put a good multi-theme game room together. Sold my BSD, and hated every minute of it.

I cleaned up a bit last night. Moved the kegerator to the kitchen and tidied up the restoration bits lying everywhere, now I can get at my machines again!

It's a good game, but I thought it was easy. I put up a score of 58 million on it at TPF this year.

Multiball is easy to start and it's easy to collect jackpot, especially if you cradle a ball. As soon as multiball ends you immediately lock them up again and repeat.

    Quoted from NPO:

rates are the cheapest both mid-month and mid-week

    Interesting, never heard that before.

Wonder why rates are lowest mid week & mid month?

There is a full build thread over at Aussie Arcade if you want to see more. Couldn't be bothered upkeeping 2 build threads which is why there isn't one here.

    This is insane!!!

I was looking through the poolhouse pics thinking "the only thing missing is a James-Bond-like windowed pool that you can look into when in the gameroom" and bam, a few pictures later you're presenting exactly that setup.

Congrats to one of the coolest gamerooms I've ever seen!

So after 8 months of waiting I finally moved into my new house ,
everything is pretty much in place except a few little things

It's still more a garage than a game room, but at least there's plenty of games in the room!

If you're wondering what the screen is on the right, it's a C64.

Hopefully it's playing BallBlazer. Not the game, just the intro music.

That's Barbarian on the screen. I used to have that on my Amiga 500. The spinning decapitation move was awesome!

You got room for your car?

    #5145 8 years ago
    Quoted from MustangPaul:

You got room for your car?

Heh, nope! The car is relegated to the car port. The games are more important.

The C64 has a special cartridge that allows disk images to be loaded via USB. This way I have all C64 games ready to go. On that particular occasion it was Barbarian, BallBlazer is also good!
