You don't have to be 'rich' to be in the pinball hobby. If you want to own a game, it takes anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 to buy a game. Obviously, the price depends on the game. Of course, that assumes that you have the $$$ to invest in a game. Then, if you want 'out' of the game, you sell it and chances are, you get all of your cash back and you're right back where you started. If you don't have the $$$ to buy a game, then 'rent' your playing time at a local arcade or pub or wherever. Seems like a pretty accessible hobby to just about everyone, IMO.
