    Er, uh, that wasn't said well. I have climbed on top of them before. Now, I was sure to put my arms and legs on the edge where it is strongest and I wasn't bouncing on it. I would say, make sure you are not adding your weight to the equation. Besides, a good chunk (1/3-1/2) of her weight will be supported by the lock down bar.
