Initially, getting no 5v. Replaced C2 and now getting 4.9v (4.8 at the TP on the CPU PCB).
Game turns on, says "we're back in action" and I hear the relay on the PS PCB click. It shows the display info briefly then blacks out. Nothing else happens. No switches work, no lamps light - nothing. The PIA light comes on initially with the 5V light then the PIA goes out and the 5v and BLANK LEDs stay on which, from what I've read, is normal.
The Data East Test EPROM shows the regular 8 flashes, so all good there. Reburned the game EPROM, checksum matches, so should be all good there, too.
CPU known good as I tested it in my Hyperball. Removing the CMOS RAM at 5D causes the 5v and PIA LEDs to stay on, so guessing the CMOS is okay as well as the proper LEDs stay on when it's installed (BLANK and 5v).
Only getting 4.80 at the test point on the CPU PCB but, from what I've read, that should be enough for it to boot.
UPDATE:
Not power supply. XPin supply installed with strong 5.05 at the CPU test point. Also getting signal at J1 for the crystal but I presume the test EPROM wouldn't have worked if there were no crystal signal.
Suggestions?
