Lw3 looks amazing with the chrome! I may have to do this to mine now. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost for the chrome job?

The rest of your cave looks great too

#4 7 years ago

The chrome looks great, but I think the black paint is an even more dramatic improvement. Game looks awesome!

LW3 is super fun. If you could eliminate the Pesci call out, the game would have a lot more staying power. Chad needs to give this game the proper code treatment!

#5 7 years ago

Also, is that a different translight?
I have this game in my shop, and enjoy it as well.

#6 7 years ago

I paid 1300 but that was for all the chrome and changing some bad connectors I had and the translite is brand new from arcade overlays in Georgia

#7 7 years ago

That was for the paint job too and they have a new chip out that's get rid of the okay okay

#8 7 years ago

like the blue better, but the chrome is amazing

in your case I think the black works well because it matches everything in the room.

nice IGT too. Im a fan of those.

#9 7 years ago

I would get the stern style leg protectors. Your new decals will wrinkle with those....Pinballlife.com has'em.

#10 7 years ago

Damn, almost makes me not want to sell mine and juice it up!

Post a playfield pic!

#11 7 years ago

It's not decals it's all been hand painted cabinet striped down

#12 7 years ago

I'm not done with the play field yet adding a ton of mods to it

#13 7 years ago

I love the look of your gameroom too!

#14 7 years ago

What retard hit the second picture with an unsafe...Falcons fan? Ridiculous. Those stunts should get a 24 hour eject.

Well the reason I am on here I have to give a shout out to moSeS 1592 he is a perfect example what pinside is all about I reached out to him about his one of a kind mods and he answered a million questions from me when I get done with mine I can't wait to show him and again thanks u went above and beyond my friend

Finally have everything working right just wanted to see if anyone has ever had this issue in attract mode my music only plays once during game play it's fine

#17 7 years ago

After turning on, mine cycles through the high scores, has a jingle for the DE logo, then LW theme plays then fades out.
Then it has a quick music bit for TFTC preview, then no music for the rest of the credits and scores. Nothing happens when I press a flipper button either.

Okay well maybe it goes silent after that first round

#19 7 years ago

Hey, I've got a Lethal Weapon 3 too according to this cabinet

That's not decals? They repainted the exploding Cheeto?
I figured decals, because I have seen black LW3 decal set for sale somewhere...

#23 7 years ago

Thought about them and decided to just paint over it

You are very welcome!

I hand painted mine black a few years ago too. I did the dual topper as well. I think the machine looks better black, myself. The black chrome you have makes the game look very modern.

Yep, I am going with Black as well on my rebuild. Looks so much better in my opinion.

Here is a link to the project if interested.

You got me interested in the attract mode for LW3. For a long time now I had the attract mode sounds turned off. I decided to do a factory reset and keep the attract mode sounds on for a change. When I did however, I noticed that the attract mode sounds only cycle once after the machine is turned on and I think once after a game is played. I kept the machine on for 1 hour in idle after one game play and the machine only cycled attract mode sounds one time immediately after the game was played. This is confusing because I could have sworn that the attract mode sound would cycle periodically every 5 to 10 minutes or so back a long time ago when I first used to keep the attract mode sounds on. I am really interested now to find out if there is some other setting that may be affecting how it cycles... perhaps free play or replay settings? Does anyone know?

I don't want to be redundant on the forum but I am curious enough that I am going to create a separate thread dedicated to this question. If you happen to have an answer please reply to both. More people may see it or respond on a dedicated thread.

Scott,

These are (almost) the exact LED bars I used. These apparently have a switch to control the color, per the packaging. The ones I used were from several years ago and were just one color, but the bar design and physical attributes are identical. They are still available at walmart (I was there for the first time in forever and snapped a picture with the SKU number included). I did not see them on line, only in the store. The other picture is of a similar adhesive led that I used on the side of the building. The power port in the photo may be useful too, for hooking all 12v led strips/bars/etc into once place, although I did not use this with my mods.
