I can get a hold of a lw3 for 1500. All original no led. Pretty good shape. What do you think on the price. Go or no go.
Could do a waterworld cheaper but I'm not crazy about it.

Does it have the original blue dome police light? Many of them have been replaced with the beacon lights from F-14. I don't know if I'd go over $1300 unless it's in excellent shape.
It's a decent game, but with only one other game I think you will get bored with it quickly. The gun adds to the game, otherwise it's pretty much a one-ramp game.
Do it. There is enough to do on this one. Shoot the orbits to increase the Uzi. Hit 1 2 3 to move up the movie clips. Hit the drops for multiball and hit stand-ups for super Leo. The jackpots can double too. Pretty challenging and fast. One of my favorites honestly. The video training mode makes good use of the DMD too. Music on this one good as well.
If it doesn't have the topper light you can get a Wolo brand rotating light in red or blue that works great. About $30.These are made for automotive use and are 12 volt motors like the original police light on the game. ebay has several listed. Don't use the 1141 bulb that it comes with it. That bulb draws too much current , use a #89 flashlamp bulb. The light has a magnet on the bottom of it for mounting to a car roof. I super glued a big flat washer to the top of the backbox for easy and removable mounting. Then wire it up and use a 1 amp fuse in the existing fuse holder and your good to go. Make sure adjustment 45 in the menu is set for police light on.
Do it. It was one of the easiest games to led for me. It's one of my games I always get a game on. You have to pull the gun trigger and shoot while your playing. For that price you could sell it if for some reason you don't enjoy it as much as I do.
Quoted from V_piscopo:At 1,500 you can play if for 6 mo's, sell it, and still make a profit!
Stop filling the poor boy's head with lies.
Ain't nobody making no profit off a $1500 lw3. $1500 is way on the top end of that title. Better be super nice for that price, and the buyer also needs to be prepared to lose a few Hundos when it's time to sell.
Game seems pretty fun, I only own one other pin (Twister), and I do still enjoy it. Guy said in "like New" condition, but I dont believe that, I'll need to take a thorough look before I can make that determination. I cant tell if he has the topper. ive already bid him down some hundred off the price. Anything i need to look at when I go to inspect?
I would get it for 1,500 its a decent price for a lethal weapon and lethal weapon 3 is a fun game it has a good theme, decent rules, and it has good sounds and callouts.
OKOKOKOKOKOKOKKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOOKOKOKKOK
I just can't NOT do it!
True there is an new chip you can pay for to calm it down.
Maybe the pin market is worse where you are than I am. If i saw a lw3 at that price in New England I would Buy it. Of coarse I would still try to talk them down. How much can u score that water world for? I'd almost send you the money and have it shipped Sti. Where I am pins (not em's) are through the roof.
Check to make sure the shooter coil fires. The right flipper leaf switch will contact the coil & short it out along with the transistor. This is a common problem with them. Been there, fixed that posted it.
Waterworld for 1300 unnegotiated. The market is saturated with people flipping pins here for way more than what they're worth. It's tough for me right now to find a pin for a good price.
I had a waterworld for sale, 100 percent working, for $900 here and couldn't get rid of it. This is a year or so ago.
Maybe the Waterworld market has exploded since then, I don't know. In my opinion, besides Freddy (popular theme) and Stargate (for some reason I do not now and will never understand) almost all of the Gottlieb DMDs are $1,000 hobby price games. Nobody likes them, the flippers, rules, and sound are terrible, and they are not easy to sell. They are also unnecesarilly huge and a bit of a pain to move (what's with those gigantic cabinets?!) On the plus side they seem very reliable.
I can see the allure of picking up a 900 Mario Andretti but beyond that you need to be very cautious when you wade into Premier waters.

I agree with this. Really surprised to see so many people claim that to be a good price early in this thread. Both of these games are budget titles, and should be priced as such (under 1k).
There are better games for 1500, or a few hundred more. It's not a horrible game, but you'll probably have a really hard time moving it for anywhere close to that same price (assuming less than CQ condition).
I paid $1300 for mine and it was shopped and LED'd by the previous owner. Mine did have the topper but my ceiling woudl not let me use it. I think it's a fun game and I play it a lot....then leave it and go back to it. I have had it for awhile and don't see myself getting rid of it.
Really good feedback. I'd like to offer him less but hes gonna say no as I already negotiated a Lower price than he asked for. I could just pass at this point.

I have to agree. I bought mine for $1100 and played it for a while. Its fun for a beginner DMD game. Unless its HUO and really nice, $1500 is really high. Id offer $1000 and start there. Especially since it has no LEDS. Youll ha ve to shop it and led it. Thats $100 easy.
Well I just emailed him and told him that it's not worth more than about 1000 without a full shop, and we need to renegotiate. And he said have a nice day. Oh well
I agree with the early posters that it's about a $1500 game. Look at past sales history on here and you'll probably see it selling in that range in the recent past. Not saying it's a 'good' deal, but about right if in good shape. LEDs are not automatically a good thing either. Some people prefer original bulbs. Look around on the market area and see how many dmds pop up for less than $1500.
No no, I agree with led's. I'm actually not one to go crazy with the led's. I chose a lot of single frosted led's for my twister. It's bright, but not overdone. And I didn't add a bunch of colors either. Just corresponding colors under the playfield.
Quoted from Switch:Wow LW3 is up to $1500?
I see some local listings asking near $2k unshopped. I wouldn't pay that. But every title seems to be creeping up.....Pinflation
