I was having the same issue with mine and that along with the fact my lens was cracked, I ended up buying one of these and putting on the top. I had a member CNC cut me a sheet of metal that screws into the factory screw holes for the original beacon and then the light just magnets onto the metal plate. Looks original and makes no permanent modifications to the game

The original is 12 volts as well. Just cut the connector of the old one and spice it on the new.
