My Fireball 2 ad expired a week or two ago. I've got a deal pending with another Pinsider. I don't want to renew the ad, but don't want to mark it as "sold through Pinside" and pay the fee in case the deal somehow falls through.

I want to post a new ad, but apparently I'm not allowed to do that until I either renew or cancel this listing.

I really wish you'd fix it so that I could decide what to do with an expired listing later. Now I'm going to have to go back and create another listing so I can get feed back and send you your money. While I fully intend to do that, I'm guessing you're missing out on some money because you're making people jump through hoops to post new listings.

While this is a situation that probably doesn't happen a lot, we agree that it is kind of inconvenient if it happens. To fix this we're going introduce a grace period of 2 weeks for ads that are marked as 'sale pending' in which you will still be able to create new ads. Would this be a workable solution for you?

We looked into this and found that adding a grace period is quite complicated. As we expect this issue not to happen too much we decided to not go forward with it for now. If we learn other people are having this problem as well, we might reconsider.

I had a look at your ad and instead of ending it as not sold, you could also have renewed it (which is one button click) and put in on 'sale pending' for the time being. This would have solved your issue with 2 clicks, I think.
