Quoted from weaselfest:

the punk scene in Iowa City circa 1980-2000. So many good bands came through this little one horse town.....Amelia's, Gabe's Oasis, Central Tavern, The Crow's Nest/Dubuque St Brewing Co hosted some epic performances. Husker Du, Savage Republic, Soul Asylum, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Flaming Lips, Redd Kross, Superchunk, Killdozer, Mudhoney, TAD, Blood Circus, Giant Sand, Stereolab.....I'm just scraping the surface.

Gabe's. You made me miss living in Iowa City.

Gryszzzz, your avatar was my first punk love. I remember the first time I listened to Walk Among Us. My favorite album of all time. And my 'Evil Never Dies' T-shirt was my favorite T-shirt of all time. I've got a couple of other Misfits shirts now, but the one I wore through high school was the greatest T-shirt that has ever existed.

Also was in 5th grade in 1985.
