Oh man, flashback city time. Late 80’s early 90’s was my timeline in the Chicago scene. Naked Raygun were my guys, saw them at least 12-15 times. Circle Jerks, DRI, the Effigies, Big Black...little later Jesus Lizard, Rapeman, 7 Seconds, . Lots of others. It was a great time to be a teenager-early 20s.

Haha let me get a home equity line of credit real quick. I’ve heard stories about hanging out with Gryszzzz. If you come up i’ll absolutely buy you a bunch as well. I hear they have beer girls cruising up and down the parking lot in golf carts. Can I hire an Über driver to drive my drunk ass home? In my own car.

I just remember them opening up for Naked Raygun all the time along with the Didjits who I wish were on this bill because they were fucking crazy.

No doubt. NR was my band all through high school and college. So tough to see them struggle with health issues (Pierre had a stroke and now has cancer and Pezatti has Parkinson’s). Father time is a real douchebag.

Yeah I’m old as hell and IDLES is the first band to tickle my treat in a long while. They’re fantastic and “Never Fight a Man With a Perm” is the greatest song title in ages. They don’t want to be called a punk band but they are.
