I saw the Dead Boys a few years ago. Really thought I would hate it, because without Stiv.....
But it wasn't terrible. I think Cheetah and one other original member were in the band.

Betty Machete and the Angry Cougars, from Columbus Ohio.

If you like Poison Idea, you should check these guys out. They are also from Portland, OR and throw in some keyboards and a little Turbonegro, but it's mostly straight up rock tinged hardcore.

Pop punk and pinball! Locals the Subjunctives, featuring Ean from Sicko, who were pretty big in the 90s. This is filmed at and about our local punk bar:

For me the debut album from Discharge in 82 was the holy grail and blueprint for extreme music.
The dawn of d beat.

Ha.
Even though I love them, fuck em forever for inventing that shit.

HC throw down in Indy soon. Best bang for buck out there.

Yeah, I didn't buy this album until about 1987, but as soon I did I started listening to it every day and began spiking my leather out. I love all punk, I grew up listening to Stiff Little Fingers, the Ramones, Generation X and a lot of poppier or melodic UK, Aussie and LA bands, so I've never shied away from pop punk. I started seeing NOFX live in the late 80s, although they were fairly different then. And I love garage punk, from The Saints to the Mummies to the New Bomb Turks. I love the rockabilly cross over into punk, from the Cramps to the Meteors. I love the metal and doom metal crossovers into punk, love hardcore, love mathy punk, grunge punk like Mudhoney... I've just never focused on one sub-genre and hated others. Well, I hate what the kids call emo punk today, because it's nothing like Heroin or any of those other Gravity Records bands.

Bérurier Noir.

France punk. Not sure they would describe themselves as punk. Punk is an ideology not a title!

As an analogy of its politically oriented and anti-fascist message I can think of the Dead Kennedys (but as an analogy only, they are far from being of the same caliber maybe but they have a significant meaning in France and Europe and others French spoking country ). They were active mainly in the late 80's debut of the 90's. The video is from the comeback-farewell show in 2004 on the Plaines d'Abraham in Qc city. And what a show that was, it rains all day, a lot of mud!

Cheers,

RIP DH Peligro

Chris

Age of Quarrel is great. Didn't care much after that one.

Cro-Mags are absolutely atrocious and Harley Flanagan is a dipshit.

Some nice club shows announced for PRB this year, super stoked to the Swingin' Utters again, they don't tour much anymore. Also, The Briefs, Beltones, The Drowns.

This was one of the few times I saw them. Another was here in Quebec, I was banging on the stage with others for an encore, the singer walked out, gave me his half empty Molson Ex and started playing.

Haha tell us how you really feel.
Age of Quarrel is ok but way overrated. I always thought his vocals were fuckin lazy for punk.

I saw the Dead Boys several years ago. I had mixed emotions about going, as without Stiv..... (and the Dead Boys are the epitome of American punk rock to me) but they were pretty good. I think Cheetah Chrome and one other original member are all that's left, the singer was in a Dead Boys tribute band I think? Good show.

Zeke are my homies, I've been seeing them since before they had vinyl out. They've gone through so many band members, but always keep it going and rockin'. So fucking fast!
