I have read around the forum that folks are using this amp and loving it in various games. I installed one in my Pin2k, along with upgraded speakers, and gotta say it sounds like crap. In order to get decent volume on the R/L I have to turn it up quite a bit. I have to keep the sub turned to like 5%, though, because anything above that and it's mud/distortion entirely. There is a lot of power coming out of this thing but it sounds horrible.

It came with a 5A power supply. I'm thinking this is probably the issue. I have seen a couple of posts here searching that say it really wants 6-8A. Why would they ship the thing with an inadequate power supply? Anyway, how are other people powering it? Is there a standard recommended power supply in a pin?

Could it be that this thing can't drive the subwoofer I have put in there? Honestly, this thing sounds like a massive downgrade from the stock system. So disappointing.

I have this amp in my system and it sounds fantastic. First off, some of these amps have bad headphone jack inputs. If you're using the headphone input on the amp, switch to a headphone to rca cable and use the rca inputs on the back of the amp instead. This is likely the whole problem.

Secondly, more power to be amp is better but 5 amps should be enough to allow the amp to crank out 60 watts. That should be very loud. Make sure you PC volume is turned up.

As for the speakers, what is the speaker you are using for the sub channel?

Short of all the above, you might just have a defective one. Really, these things sound great in a pinball machine.
