Quoted from ralphwiggum:

I have specifically stayed away from Williams at this time, simply because I haven't spoken with Rick as far as what licensing would look like. To be honest with you, the Williams era stuff would be a bit easier to design than the Stern era stuff, because the artwork I have available to me from years of restoring projects, plus the artwork is simpler, more linear with sharper edges. The Stern era stuff has TONS of complex layers needed to make it all work.

I can't blame you there. Here's a crappy picture of a one (actually two) - off I had custom made years ago before they did the 3D backglasses. I found someone that did the printing in Washington or Portland and then had to find a digital artist in Germany that did the 3D rendering or whatever you call it so I could have them printed. Obviously with it just being for personal use and not selling it I didn't worry about licensing or anything. I saw your post about having 5V EL panel now, that would be awesome as what I used is HV and I had to use some in-line resistors to the switching supply to get the brightness down and minimize the squealing from that supply. This looks a world better in person (and I no longer have those crappy pricing cards), I'll be ordering a set of your for GOTG.
